Part I Study on The Enhancement Effect of 5 Different Molecular Structures and Iodine Concentration Contrast Agents on Thoracic Aorta by Gemstone spectral CT ObjectiveTo investigate the efficacy of the five iodine contrast agents in enhancing chest blood vessels by energy spectrum CT under the same iodine injection rate(1.2 g I/s)and total iodine load(420 mg I/kg).Methods240 patients whose the range of Body Mass Index(BMI)was 18.5~24.9 Kg/m2 were randomly divided into five groups according to the concentration of contrast agents(group270,group 300,group 320,group 350 and group 370).Each group had 35 patients.On arterial phase images,single energy sequences are applied to measure the CT values of thoracic aorta at the level of sub carina of trachea,the CT values of erector spine muscle at the same level and the SD values of subcutaneous fat.The CNR and SNR are calculated respectively,and the relevant energy spectrum data are saved and recorded.The slope of the energy spectrum curve,the basic value of iodine(water)and the effective atomic number are obtained.SPSS 19.0 software was applied to compare the CT value,CNR,SNR,energy spectrum curve slope,iodine(water)base value and effective atomic number among five groups.The statistical test is LSD-t test.Besides,the AUC is adopted to evaluate the enhancement efficiency of different iodine contrast agents on thoracic vascularCT under the same iodine injection rate and total iodine.ResultsThere was no significant difference among the five groups in terms of CT value,CNR,SNR,energy spectrum curve slope,iodine(water)base value and effective atomic number.ConclusionBy using individualized contrast medium injection scheme of the same iodine injection rate and total iodine load,different molecular structures and concentrations of iodine can obtain similar enhancement efficiency of thoracic vessels and high quality of image.Part II Multi-parameter Evaluation of Enhancement Efficacy of Three Contrast Agents with Different Iodine Concentrations for Esophageal Carcinoma by Gemstone spectral CTObjectiveTo investigate the efficacy of the three iodine contrast agents in energy spectrum chest CT enhancement for patients with esophageal carcinoma under the same iodine injection rate(1.2 g I/s)and total iodine load(420 mg I/kg).Methods70 patients with pathologically confirmed esophageal squamous carcinoma were randomly divided into three groups according to the concentration of contrast agents(group 300,group 350 and group 370).Each group had 20 patients.On arterial phase images,70 ke V of single energy sequences are applied to measure the CT values of enhanced area in esophageal carcinoma,the CT values of erector spine muscle at the same level and the SD values of subcutaneous fat.The CNR and SNR are calculated respectively,and the relevant energy spectrum data are saved and recorded.The slope of the energy spectrum curve,the basic value of iodine(water)and the effective atomic number are obtained.SPSS 19.0 software was applied to compare the CT value,CNR,SNR,energy spectrum curve slope,iodine(water)base value and effective atomic number among three groups.The statistical test is One-way ANOVA and LSD-t test.ResultsUnder the same condition of 70 ke V of single energy,there was no significant difference among the three groups in terms of CT value,CNR,SNR,energy spectrum curve slope,iodine(water)base value and effective atomic number.ConclusionBy using individualized contrast medium injection scheme of the same iodine injection rate and total iodine load,different molecular structures and concentrations of iodine can obtain similar enhancement efficiency in energy spectrum chest CT enhancement of esophageal carcinoma. |
