Clinical Observation Of Treating Liver Swelter Type Of Herpes Zoster By Longdan Xiegan Decoction And Umbilicus Acupunct-ure

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Longdan Xiegan Decoction and umbilical acupuncture in the treatment of liver swelter type of herpes zoster.Methods:Using random number table method,60 patients with liver swelter type of herpes zoster that meeting the inclusion criteria were divided into treatment group and control group,30 people in each group.The treatment plan of the treatment group is: oral Chinese medicine(Longdan Xiegan Decoction),umbilical acupuncture(Gen point,Dui point,Zhen point,Xun point)and basic treatment(antiviral drugs,nutritional nerve drugs,topical medicine).The control group’s oral Chinese medicine and basic treatment are the same as the treatment group,and umbilical acupuncture treatment is not given.Both groups were treated for 10 days.During the treatment,observe and record the changes of skin lesions of blister,scab,and scab at any time,record the time of pain relief and the VAS score before and after treatment,fill out the symptom and sign score table,and follow up the patients with Postherpetic Neuralgia,to evaluate the efficacy of Longdan Xiegan Decoction and umbilical acupuncture therapy for herpes zoster.Results:After 10 days of treatment,8 of the 30 observation subjects in the treatment group were cured,20 markedly effective patients,2 effective patients,0 invalid patients,and the marked efficiency was 93.3%;30observations in the control group among the subjects,4 patients were cured,18 were markedly effective,8 were effective,0 were ineffective,and the marked efficiency was 73.3%.After statistical analysis,the marked efficiency of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Observation objects in both groups were significantly improved in skin lesions,VAS scores,symptom and sign scores(P<0.05),but the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant.During the follow up of the treatment group,no PHN patients were found,and 4 people in the control group developed PHN,with an incidence rate of13.3%.Compared with the two groups,the treatment plan of the treatment group can effectively reduce the incidence of PHN(P<0.01).Conclusion:Longdan Xiegan Decoction combined with umbilical acupuncture treatment can improve the clinical efficacy and reduce the incidence of PHN in the treatment of liver swelter type herpes zoster.The therapeutic effect is better than that of using only traditional Chinese medicine.Use and promotion of herpes zoster in the clinic.
