Objective: To explore the distribution characteristics of TCM syndromes in patients with colorectal adenomatous polyps, and to provide a reference basis for treatment of colorectal adenomatous polyps,so as to improve clinical efficacy.Method: A cross-sectional survey was conducted on patients with colorectal adenoma polyp and polyps who met the criteria for inclusion from February 2019 to January2020,which was from Fuzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The patient’s medical records and the syndrome types were determined, and the distribution characteristics of TCM syndrome types of colorectal adenomatous polyps were comprehensively analyzed.Results:(1)general information: 150 cases of colorectal adenomatous polyps were collected in this study. The ratio of male to female is 1.38:1,and male patients are most common. The age of colorectal adenomatous polyps is more than 40 years old, especially in 40-59 years old.(2)microscopically: the ratio of single to multiple polyps was 1:1.27,and multiple polyps were common. Both male and female were mainly multiple polyps.Multiple age polyps were the main groups in all age groups. The size of polyps was most common in small adenomas(0.6-1.0cm);both male and female were common in small adenomas;the distribution of polypus size in each age group was different(P<0.05).In <40 years old group, small adenoma was the main group.Small adenomas were the main groups in the 40-59 year old group and the 60 year old group. The sigmoid colon(20.9%)was the most common site, followed by rectum(19.5%)and transverse colon(17.3%).(3)pathological type: tubular adenoma was the most common, and all age groups were mostly tubular adenoma.(4)distribution of TCM syndromes: TCM syndrome differentiation is most common in liver qi stagnation and spleen deficiency syndrome(38.7%),followed by spleen deficiency and stasis syndrome(18.7%),intestinal damp heat syndrome(16.7%),qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome(14.7%),dampness stasis block(11.3%)is the most rare. The distribution of TCM syndromes among different age groups is different(P<0.05).The bowel viscera damp heat syndrome,qi stagnation and blood stasis proved less than that of <40 years old and 40-59 years old two age groups, while damp stasis syndrome proved to be less than 40-59 years old group. The distribution of polyp size in each syndrome was significantly different(P<0.05).There was a significant difference between damp stasis syndrome and spleen deficiency and stasis syndrome.1.1-2.0cm was the most common symptom, while 22 of the other syndromes showed no significant difference, all of which were mainly0.6-1.0cm.Conclusions:(1)the male / female ratio of colorectal adenomatous polyps is 1.38:1,which is more common in males than that in 40 years.(2)under the microscope, multiple polyps were common. The size of polyps was the most common 0.6-1.0cm.<40 years old patients were mainly microadenomas, and those aged over 40 years were mainly small adenomas. The sites of good hair were sigmoid colon, rectum and transverse colon.(3)tubular adenoma is the most common pathological type.(4)in TCM syndrome types, liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome, spleen deficiency and blood stasis syndrome were common;the age group of over 60 years old was mainly liver depression, spleen deficiency syndrome, spleen deficiency and blood stasis syndrome.Intestinal damp heat syndrome,qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome were mostly found in <60 years old patients. All syndromes were mainly0.6-1.0cm,and 1.1-2.0cm in damp stasis syndrome was relatively high.
