Clinical Study On Acupoint Embedding Combined With T Ian Suipill In The Treatment Of Ankylosing Spondylitis

ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy and safety of acupoint embedding combined with Tian Sui pill in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis.MethodsSixty patients with ankylosing spondylitis who met the criteria from the Henan Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine were randomly divided into the treatment group(30 cases)and the control group(30 cases).The treatment group was treated with acupoint catgut-embedding combined with oral Tian Sui pills.The acupoint catgut-embedding was treated once every 2 weeks for 4 times.The acupoint selection principle was based on syndrome differentiation and image data to show the lesion site.The control group was given oral Celecoxib capsule and sulfasalazine enteric-coated tablets.Both groups have a treatment cycle of 8 weeks.After completion of treatment,TCM syndrome scores,main signs(occiput-to-wall distance,thoracic activity,Schober test),VAS scores and ESR,CRP levels were used to evaluate the efficacy,and blood routine,liver function,kidney function and other indicators were observed for safety assessment.ResultsSixty AS cases were included in this trial.One case of the TCM treatment group and the drug control group were detached.The remaining cases were completely involved in the experimental study.A total of 58 complete cases efficacy data and safety index data were recorded.Twenty-nine patients in the TCM treatment group and the drug control group.1.Baseline assessment: There was no significant difference in age,sex and course of disease between the two groups(all P > 0.05).There were no significant differences in the scores of TCM syndromes,main signs,VAS scores and laboratory indexes(ESR,CRP)between the two groups before treatment(all P>0.05),which were comparable.2.Comparison of effectiveness: intra-group comparison: After 8 weeks of experimental research,the TCM syndrome scores,main signs,VAS scores and laboratory indexes of the TCM treatment group and the drug control group were significantly lower than before treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(All P<0.05);comparison between groups: After treatment,the difference of TCM syndrome scores between the two groups after treatment was compared by independent sample t test.Except for joint tenderness and morning stiffness,the scores of other syndromes in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group(all P < 0.05);After treatment,the main signs,VAS scores and laboratory indicators of AS patients in the treatment group were significantly better than those in the drug control group(all P < 0.05).The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05)).3.Efficacy evaluation: After 8 weeks of treatment,the total effective rate of the TCM treatment group was 89.66%(26/29);the total effective rate of the drug control group was 75.86%(21/29).The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Safety comparison: There were 2 patients with mild adverse reactions in the TCM treatment group,and the symptoms disappeared after treatment.There were no abnormalities in the safety indicators before and after treatment in the treatment group(blood routine,liver function,renal function and vital signs).After treatment,the drug control group patients did not have obvious discomfort.Eight patients had mild elevation of ALT,and returned to normal after stopping the drug.Conclusion:1.Acupointembedding combined with oral Tian Sui pills therapy for AS can significantly improve the TCM syndrome scores,main signs,VAS scores and ESR,CRP indicators,less adverse reactions,efficacy and safety,better than the drug control group.2.The treatment group was treated with TCM for ankylosing spondylitis and Catgut-Embedding at acupoints once every two weeks.The patients in the treatment group had less pain and better compliance,which had high clinical popularization value.
