Objectives To evaluate the effect of different alveolar ridge preservation(ARP)methods on the changes of available soft and hard tissues change at tooth extraction site. Methods 30 patients from the Emergency General Hospital intended to implant placement after tooth extraction from October 2018 to November 2019 and volunteered to participate in the alveolar ridge preservation study were chosen.Patients were divided into group A: use Bio-Oss Collagen + Bio-Gide collagen membrane, group B: use BioOss + autologous soft tissue transplantation and group C: control group, natural healing after tooth extraction without treatment. The patients were photographed with CBCT before tooth extraction and 6 months after the operation.Ondemand 3D Dental software was used to measure the changes in the height of the alveolar crest and the width of the alveolar bone at the 3mm and 5mm sites under the crest of the three groups. The keratinized gingival width and thickness at the extraction site were measured before and4 months after the extraction. Results The three groups were grouped by age and gender, and the differences in the changes of the measurement indexes of soft and hard tissues 6 months after tooth extraction were compared. The results revealed there was no statistically difference(P>0.05).One-way ANOVA was performed on the data of the changes in the measurement points of the horizontal bone mass in the three groups. The results were all P<0.05,and the difference was statistically significant. Then the LSD test was used to compare and analyze the changes before and after operation in groups A,B,and C.There was no significant difference between the group A and B(P>0.05).Group A and group B have statistically significant differences with group C(P<0.05).One-way ANOVA was performed on the data of the changes in the measurement points of the buccal and palatal vertical bone mass in the three groups. The results were all P<0.05,and the difference was statistically significant. Then the LSD test was used to compare and analyze the changes before and after operation in groups A,B,and C.There was no significant difference between the group A and B(P>0.05).Group A and group B have statistically significant differences with group C(P<0.05).One-way analysis of variance was performed on the data of the keratinized gingival width and thickness changes in the three groups. The results were all P<0.05,the difference was statistically significant. The LSD test was used to compare the changes in the three groups.Group A have statistically significant differences with group C(P<0.05).Group B have statistically significant differences with group C(P<0.05).Group A have statistically significant differences with group B(P<0.05).Conclusions Alveolar ridge preservation after tooth extraction can reduce the absorption of soft and hard tissues. There is no difference in the effect of two occupying materials on hard tissue preservation. In soft tissue preservation, the use of keratinized gingival grafts to seal the extraction socket has more advantageous in reduction of the keratinized gingival width and thickness.Figure32;Table16;Reference 154...
