Objective:To detect the expression of TRPM7in bladder transitional cell carcinoma(BTCC)and its adjacent tissues and to study the relationship between TRPM7and BTCC combined with the clinicopathological characteristics of BTCC.Methods:60 tissue samples of patients diagnosed with BTCC in the department of urology, the second affiliated hospital of Hainan Medical University from 2017 to2019 were collected.Of the 60 samples,28 obtained via TURBT,5 via partial cystectomy,27 via radical cystectomy.According to the postoperative pathological results,it was divided into high differentiation(low grade)group and low differentiation(high grade)group according to the degree of differentiation. The expression of TRPM7in all tissues was detected by immunohistochemistry.Images were collected under high power field(400x)of microscope, and the average areas of positive cells in paracancer tissues, low grade cancer tissues and high grade cancer tissues were analyzed respectively and obtained by Image J software. The relationship between TRPM7and clinicopathological parameters was analyzed combined with the clinicopathological characteristics of BTCC.Results:The area of positive cells in BTCC tissues was higher than that of adjacent tissues, and the area of low differentiation(high grade)higher than high differentiation(low grade),The differens were significant statistically(P<0.05).In a single factor analysis, the expression of TRPM7was correlated with smoking,TNM stage, tumor differentiation and visceral metastasis of BTCC(P<0.05),but not with tumor size, age, gender, site and lymph node metastasis(P>0.05).In the multivariate logistic analysis, smoking and the tumor differentiation were directly related to TRPM7expression(P<0.05).Conclusions:There are significant differences in the expression of TRPM7in BTCC and the adjacent tissues. The expression of TRPM7may be associated with smoking, the tumor differentiation,TNM stage and visceral metastasis of BTCC,and may play an important role in the occurrence, development, infiltration and metastasis of BTCC.
