Functional somatic symptom(FSS)in children refers to the symptoms of physical discomfort after medical examination,no obvious organic lesions,or no obvious effect after physical treatment. It occurs more frequently in children and adolescents. In severe cases, their academic performance, school attendance, daily life and interpersonal relationships are affected. However, children’s FSS has great concealment and is not easy to be identified. When severe,it will bring long-term harm to children’s physical and mental health.Therefore,in-depth research on children’s FSS,and looking for social and psychological factors other than pathophysiology, are of great significance for maintaining children’s physical and mental health. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of inter-parental conflict perception on FSS in grades 4-6,based on cognitive contextual framework and emotional security theory. The cross-sectional design was adopted in this study, and CPIC,CSI-22 and SIS Scale were used to measure the questionnaire in a convenient way.A total of 1350 questionnaires were distributed, and 1162 valid responses were obtained, with an effective rate of 86.0%.This study assumes that marital conflict perception has a predictive effect on FSS in grades 4-6.Cognitive appraisal and emotional insecurity play roles in the effect of marital conflict perception on FSS.The main results of this study are as follows:1.The incidence of functional somatizatic symptoms in grades 4-6 is 25%,with pain and fatigue symptoms being the most common.2.The somatic symptoms of grades 4-6 have significant differences in demographic factors such as grade, academic performance, number of family children, family economic level, family residence, family structure, and parent’s cultural level.3.Inter-parental conflict perception, cognitive appraisal, emotional insecurity and functional somatization were significantly positively correlated4.Self-attribution plays a moderating role in the impact of inter-parental conflict perception on pain and fatigue factors in grades 4-6.5.Inter-parental conflict perception can positively predict functionalsomatization of grades 4-6 pupils.6.Self-attribution plays a mediating role in the impact of inter-parental conflict perception on functional somatization in grades 4-6.7.Emotional insecurity plays a mediating role in the impact of inter-parental conflict perception on functional somatization in grades 4-6.8.The effect of inter-parental conflict perception on functional somatization in grades 4-6: a serial mediator of self-attribution and emotional Insecurity.
