Objective: With the development of China’s economy,industrialization and urbanization,the average life expectancy has increased.Although coronary atherosclerotic heart disease(CAD)and ischemic stroke(IS)are two diseases of different systems,they share a common pathophysiological basis,and dyslipidemia is a common risk factor.The DNAH11 was related to human lipid level,and the rs4722064 SNP was also a site on this gene.Therefore,the purpose of this paper was to explore the association between the DNAH11 rs4722064 SNP and blood lipid metabolism and the susceptibility to CAD and IS in Guangxi Han people.Methods: Han residents in Guangxi were selected as the research object.All the individuals in this study were unrelated Han patients from different regions who were randomly selected.A total of 1666 participants were divided into control(n = 524)and CAD(n = 582)and IS(n = 560)subgroups.Means of questionnaire survey were used to collecting participant’s general and clinical imformation.The genotyping of the DNAH11 rs4722064 SNP was conducted with Snapshot technique.Results: 1.High density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)levels in the control group were significant difference among genotypes(P < 0.05).Serum HDL-C levels were significantly lower in the DNAH11 rs4722064 T allele carriers than non-carriers.2.The DNAH11 rs4722064 T allele was associated with increased risk of CAD(GG vs.GT genotypes : OR = 2.387,95%CI =1.844-3.090,P = 0.000;GG vs.TT genotypes: OR = 5.298,95%CI =3.421-8.178,P = 0.000).The DNAH11 rs4722064 T allele was correlated with increased risk of IS(GG vs.GT genotypes: OR = 2.173,95%CI = 1.679-2.814,P = 0.000;GG vs.TT genotypes: OR = 4.472,95%CI = 2.878-6.949,P = 0.000).The results in the genetic model still showed that the the rs4722064 T allele(GT and TT genotypes)were still associated with the risk of CAD and IS(P < 0.05)after adjusted.3.Hierarchical analysis showed that the subjects carrying the rs4722064 T allele have different effects on the risk of CAD and IS in different populations.Conclusions: 1.The DNAH11 rs4722064 SNP was significantly associated with serum levels.2.The rs4722064 T allele carriers had lower HDL-C levels than the rs4722064 GG homozygotes.And the risk of CAD and IS was increased in the rs4722064 T allele carriers.3.DNAH11 rs4722064 SNP may interact with some factors such as age,gender,BMI,smoking,alcohol consumption,and hypertension to affect the risk of CAD and IS of Guangxi Han people.
