| In recent years, with the rapid development of China’s social economy and the continuous improvement of people’s living standards and health needs, the medical and health industry has put forward higher requirements for nursing work. The nursing demand has changed from lowend to high-end,and the low-end nursing talent market has gradually shrunk. However, due to the limited educational resources, students’ sources and cultural basis,it is difficult to cultivate high-end nursing talents to meet the needs of the market. As an underdeveloped area in Guangdong Province, the situation in the west of Guangdong is particularly prominent. How to carry out the reform and development of running a school has become an urgent problem in vocational nursing education in western Guangdong.Relevant research and literature show that the development of the elderly care industry in the context of aging population has brought about new changes in the supply and demand of nursing talents, which are reflected in three aspects: first, the demand for elderly care talents has become the most important growth point of the demand for nursing talents, and there is a huge demand gap in Guangdong Province and the whole country.Second, compared with the demand of new nursing talents market, the training of old-age nursing talents is seriously lagging behind, and its quantity and quality can not meet the demand.Third, the implementation of the policy of combining medical care with nursing has objectively further improved the quantity and quality requirements of nursing talents.Due to its geographical location and economic characteristics, the concept of elderly care in western Guangdong is relatively conservative, and the proportion of disabled elderly in elderly care institutions is higher, leading to the need for high-quality nursing talents in the elderly care industry. These changes provide opportunities and challenges for the reform and development of vocational nursing education in western Guangdong.According to the questionnaire survey conducted by the researchers on the managers of many medical and elderly care institutions in western Guangdong,at present, the vocational nursing education in western Guangdong is facing a series of problems, such as the large scale of running school, gradually exceeding the market demand, narrow employment scope of graduates, the need to adjust and optimize the professional structure, the low level of training, the unsmooth channel to expand to the higher level, the low quality of education, and the need to be greatly improved We need to carry out all-round education and teaching reform to find a solution. The change of talent demand caused by the development of pension industry just provides the opportunity and power for this reform. Therefore, the researchers draw on the experience of the reform and development of secondary vocational health schools in the Pearl River Delta, clarify the talent demand for the current medical market and pension service market, and take meeting this demand as the starting point, put forward a series of adjustment and reform ideas in the enrollment scale, training level, professional setting and structure adjustment, and training mode, hoping to be able to provide medical and pension care talents In order to reform and develop the nursing education in the west of Guangdong Province,a new idea of "combination of medical and nursing" was put forward. At the same time,in view of the complexity and systematization of the reform of secondary vocational nursing personnel training, this paper also puts forward some suggestions to the government and industry on the external environment conditions and supporting policy support needed by the reform, such as relevant policy support, industry guidance, school enterprise cooperation, etc.,in order to effectively link the government, industry and school, and form a joint effort to promote the reform of secondary vocational nursing education in western Guangdong. |
