Objective Cerebral palsy is one of the most common disabling diseases for children, which brings a heavy mental and economic burden to families and society.Independent walking is one of the main goals of cerebral palsy rehabilitation.Limited walking ability results in an increased risk of falling and high dependence of others, which tends to greatly affect the normal life of children and affect their interpersonal interaction, emotional status and self-esteem.The present study aims to observe the clinical efficacy of the treatment of whole body vibration stimulation and treadmill training to improve the walking ability of children with spastic diplegia, for a simple, safe, reliable and effective rehabilitation treatment for children with spastic diplegia. Methods Forty children with spastic diplegia were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group.Participants in the two groups received conventional rehabilitation treatment. The control group received the exercise plate training. The experimental group received the whole body vibration stimulation and exercise plate training, once a day,5 days a week,2 days off,and 3 months of continuous training. The training effect was evaluated before and after training using GMFM-88 D and E area scores,Berg Balance scale, and 3D gait analyzer. Results After the treatment, the comparison between the groups showed that the GMFM-88 D and E area scores, the Berg Balance scale score, the gait space-time parameters and the joint angle parameters of the two groups were significantly improved compared with before, and the difference was significant statistically(P < 0.05).The comparison between groups showed that the GMFM-88 D and E area scores, the Berg Balance scale score, the gait space-time parameters and the joint angle parameters of the test group were significantly improved after the treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusions Whole body vibration stimulation and treadmill training can significantly improve the walking ability of children with spastic diplegia, improve the living quality of children patients, and the effect is better than the simple treadmill training.
