Heart transplantation is a widely accepted method to treat end-stage heart disease.However,due to the shortage of heart donors,most patients are unable to receive timely treatment.Ventricular assist device has become an important means for the treatment of heart failure as a natural heart alternative.The pulsatility of the aortic pressure decreases with the constant speed mode of the current clinical centrifugal blood pumps and the low pulsatile value of aortic pressure will have a bad effect on the structures and functions of blood vessels.In this paper,the the fuzzy PI Controller which make use of the volatility of the speed of pumps to enhance the pulsatility of the aortic pressure was designed.Initial results obtained are as follows:1.Build the cardiovascular-pump model which is the controlled objects of the controller for blood pulsation.The cardiovascular-pump include cardiovascular model,blood pump model and the pressure reflex nervous system.Simulate the model using MATLAB to test the validity of the model.2.Aimed at the requirement of the blood pump,design the controller to maintain the main pressure and inhance the pulse pressure.Select the co-pulse mode of the pump for the goal to improve blood pulsation by numerical methods.Establish the control system simulation model to test the performance of the algorithms and the result demonstrate the controller is feasibility and robustness3.Design the circuit of the brushless DC motor drive system and the overall framework of software with STM32 to realize the fuzzy PI controller4.Design the mock circulatory system according to the elastic theory.The main physiological variables of the simulation experiment platform such as heart rate,aortic pressure and flow rate are adjustable.Connect the centrifugal blood pump to mock cardiovascular system,measure aortic pressure and flow rate to verify the performance of the control algorithms and the validity of the model.
