The Main Achievements And Characteristics Of Chinese Medicine Cosmetology In The Ming And Qing Dynasties

During the Ming and Qing dynasties,there was a high degree of political and economic development,social stability,gradual expansion of the territory and increasingly extensive foreign exchanges.Chinese medicine reached its heyday in terms of theoretical research and clinical application,and the development of Chinese medicine led to the progress of Chinese cosmetology.Focusing on TCM beauty,this study identifies the main medical texts related to TCM beauty in the Ming and Qing dynasties,which involve prescription books,surgical monographs,ophthalmology monographs,comprehensive medical works,monographs on materia medica,monographs on beauty decoration,and monographs on acupuncture and moxibustion.By compiling,summarizing,and analyzing the achievements and characteristics of TCM cosmetology in the Ming and Qing dynasties,we aim to provide reference and reference for the development of modern TCM cosmetology industry and the study of TCM cosmetology.Using the methods of categorical history research,content analysis,and bibliographic research,the contents of TCM cosmetology contained in medical texts of the Ming and Qing dynasties are compiled and analyzed.The paper first briefly introduces the concept of Chinese medicine cosmetology and the purpose,significance,content and method of the paper,and discusses the development of Chinese medicine cosmetology in detail,and analyzes and summarizes the medical texts related to cosmetology in Ming and Qing dynasties,and then focuses on the achievements and characteristics of Chinese medicine cosmetology in Ming and Qing dynasties,and discusses the factors influencing the development of cosmetology.The results show that cosmetology in the Ming and Qing dynasties formed its own distinctive characteristics and made remarkable achievements under the influence of multiple factors such as politics,economy,culture,science and technology,ideology and consciousness,the development of Chinese medicine and people’s own pursuit of beauty.The main achievements of Chinese medicine cosmetology in the Ming and Qing dynasties: the beauty content recorded in medical books was abundant,which promoted the development of Chinese medicine cosmetology;it lays the foundation for the subsequent development of Chinese cosmetology,and has guiding significance for the research and development of modern cosmetic daily chemicals,health care products and cosmetic food.Main features:theoretical highlighting of holistic identification,rich and comprehensive beauty treatment;it was of guiding significance to the development of modern beauty cosmetics,health care products and beauty food.The main features:theoretically highlighting the overall identification,beauty treatment is rich and comprehensive;a wide variety of beauty drugs,especially like fragrant medicine;health care and beauty development is rapid,the distinction between the court and folk is clear.Through the study of the theories and treatments of cosmetic treatments and the aesthetic ideas involved in the medical texts of the Ming and Qing dynasties,the contents of the present-day Chinese medicine cosmetology are enriched and have certain reference and guiding significance for the development and clinical application of Chinese medicine cosmetology.
