Objective:To compare and analyze the clinical characteristics and laboratory indicators of autoimmune hepatitis(AIH)and primary biliary cirrhosis(PBC)patients, contributing to clinical diagnosis and treatment.Methods:147 patients with autoimmune liver disease, including 63 cases of AIHand 84 cases of PBC were retrospectively analyzed. The clinical data and laboratory results of the patients were collected, and the differences between them were compared and analyzed. Results:The age, gender and clinical symptoms between AIH and PBC were not significantly different(P<0.05).However,both of them usually occur in middle-aged female patients, and PBC patients are more prone to jaundice, poor tolerance, abdominal distension and ascites and other clinical symptoms. The elevated level of liver enzymes in AIH group was significantly higher than that in PBC group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the erythrocyte sedimentation rate in PBC group was significantly faster than that in AIH group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the alpha fetoprotein between the two groups(P>0.05)was not significantly different;PBC patients were more prone to anemia than AIH patients, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);AIH was more prone to thrombocytopenia and prolonged APTT than PBC,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The positive rate of ANA in AIH and PBC patients was not statistically significant(P>0.05);however,the positive rates of ASMA,AMA and AMA2 were statistically significant in AIH and PBC patients(P<0.05);the blood routine, blood coagulation and liver function between the AMA positive group and the AMA negative group were not significantly different(P>0.05);the increase of liver enzymes was more obvious in the AMA negative group, the liver lesion was more serious, and the erythrocyte sedimentation rate was faster in the AMA negative group than in the AMA positive group. Conclusion:AIH and PBC patients have similar clinical symptoms and signs, but they have different characteristics in biochemistry, blood biochemical indexes, serum antibodies and other aspects, and the treatment plan and prognosis are also different.A better understanding of these characteristics plays an essential role in clinical diagnosis and treatment.
