Objective:To evaluate the clinical effect of the distal tear of Palmer IB Triangular fibrocartilage complex With Wrist arthroscopic assisted repair. Methods:Retrospective analysis of patients admitted to our hospital from January 2018 to September 2020 who received arthroscopic assisted repair for treatment of the distal tear of Palmer IB Triangular fibrocartilage complex. At least six months of follow-up,The wrist joint function was evaluated by comparing Wrist flexion and extension, rotation, grip strength(compared with the normal side),visual analog scale(VAS),disability of arm, shoulder and hand(DASH)questionnaire, wrist function Mayo score(including pain degree, function state, range of motion, grip strength)and Patient-Rated Wrist Evaluation(PRWE)score. Results:A total of 28 patients were included, and all patients recovered to meet the needs of wrist function in daily activities. At the last follow-up,the wrist function of all patients was improved compared with that before operation, and there was significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.05).The average range of motion of flexion and extension increased from 66.11 ±6.685 °before operation to 114.86 ±9.224 °after operation, there was significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.05).The average range of rotation increased from 120.21 ±12.173 °before operation to 153.61 ±9.275 after operation, there was significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.05).The average percentage of grip strength compared with the normal side increased from 63.40±5.428% to 85.32 ±4.754%,there was significant difference between the two groups(P <0.05).The average VAS score decreased from 5.18 ±1.278 before operation to 1.18±0.945 after operation, there was significant difference between the two groups(P <0.05).The average mayo score of wrist increased from 59.46 ±8.855 before operation to85.89 ±5.280 after operation, there was significant difference between the two groups(P< 0.05).The average DASH score decreased from 44.9046 ±7.81556 before operation to10.7075 ±3.81958 after operation(P < 0.05),there was significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.05).The average score of PRWE decreased from44.821 ±6.3585 before operation to 9.964 ±2.7619 after operation, there was significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.05).Conclusion:The clinical effect of repairing the distal tear of Triangular fibrocartilage complex under wrist arthroscopy is reliable and can significantly improve the function of the wrist.
