Chronic wounds secondary to pressure sores, diabetes and venous stasis are always persistent and protracted, mainly due to the susceptibility to bacteria and the undersupply of healing-promoting growth factors. How to solve these problems is the most difficult and the most critical thing.Herein,a new injectable sodium alginate(SA)hydrogel(SZC@PRP)crosslinking by calcium ions(Ca2+)doped zinc oxide(ZC),loading with autogenous platelet-rich plasma(PRP)is proposed.Compared with conventional SA hydrogel,ZC crosslinked SA(SZC)hydrogel not only has improved quality and self-adaptability to irregular wounds, but also has acquired enhanced anti-infection ability.Furthermore, autogenous platelet-rich plasma(PRP)is loaded, which can be persistently activated by ZC,resulting in sustained-release of growth factors. These growth factors,in conjunction with zinc ions(Zn2+)and Ca2+,jointly promote wound healing through the proliferation of fibroblasts, collagen regeneration and angiogenesis. This is the first application of doping technology prepared ZC in the field of biological hydrogels. As a result, doping technology provides new inspiration for the development of multifunctional hydrogels, and is expected to possess a broader application prospect in coping with more complex and refractory clinical issues.
