Objective:The correlation between human body related parameters,MRI cross-sectional area of hamstring tendon and the final graft diameter of ACL reconstruction was analyzed. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on 61 patients who met the inclusion criteria for ACL reconstruction in our hospital from November 2018 to January 2021.The patient’s sex, age, height, weight and BMI were recorded before operation, and the sum of the MRI cross-sectional area of semitendinosus tendon and gracilis tendon was measured by PS software.During arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, the semitendinosus tendon and gracilis tendon were woven into 4strands,and the diameter of the braided graft was measured by an incremental 1mm cylindrical tester, which was determined by the hole through which the final graft was compiled. The data will be obtained for correlation analysis. Results:A total of 61 patients were included in this study, including 46 males(75.41%)and 15 females(24.59%).The average age is 32.57±11.53 years old,the average height is 171.44±10.06cm,the average weight is 71.12±12.12kg,the average BMI is24.12±3.03kg/m~2,the average cross-sectional area of ST’s MRI is 15.77±3.60 mm~2,the average cross-sectional area of GT’s MRI is 8.48±1.61mm~2.The average cross-sectional area of 2 times ST and GT MRI was 48.51±9.83mm~2.The final graft diameter was 8.05±0.78mm.The preoperative prediction correlation factor showed that the Pearson correlation coefficient between the twice cross-sectional area of ST+GT MRI and the final graft was as high as 0.981(p<0.001),showing a strong correlation. And the linear regression prediction equation was as follows:2~*(ST+GT)area(mm~2)=12.296*final graft diameter(mm)-50.46.Among the human body related parameters, the Pearson correlation coefficient between the height and the final graft was 0.401(p=0.001),and the linear regression prediction equation was obtained as follows:height(cm)=11.848*final graft diameter(mm)+76.0.There was a moderate correlation between the height and the final graft diameter. The Pearson correlation coefficient between the body weight and the final graft was0.346(p=0.006),showing a weak correlation.Age,BMI and the final graft, and the Pearson correlation coefficients were-0.186 and 0.118,respectively.Conclusion:We accurately measured the combined cross-sectional area of ST and GT on T2fat-suppressed sequence images of knee joint MRI in routine examination of ACL injury by using a kind of image processing software PS,which is cheap, simple, and accurate and can be popularized in grass-roots hospitals. The results show that the combined cross-sectional area of ST and GT is an almost perfect index for predicting the final graft diameter of ACL reconstructed by autologous hamstring tendon before operation. The predicted linear regression equation is as follows:2~*(ST+GT)area(mm~2)=12.96*final graft diameter(mm)-50.46.Height showed a moderate correlation among human body related parameters, and the linear regression equation predicted was:height(cm)=11.848*final graft diameter(mm)+76.0.However,age,body weight and BMI have no clinical significance in predicting graft diameter. This will provide a preliminary preoperative prediction of the final graft diameter model in four-stranded autologous HT reconstruction ACL,screening out patients with insufficient graft diameter and better perioperative planning. |
