Objective:To compare the early effect between TiRobot Orthopedic Robotic system assisted navigation and traditional Cannulated Compression Screw internal fixation in the treatment of femoral neck fractures. Methods:The clinical data of patients who received cannulated compression screw internal fixation in the treatment of femoral neck fractures in Wuhan Fourth Hospital from September 2018 to September 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were classified into two groups depending on whether TiRobot Orthopedic Robotic system were used. The experimental group received closed reduction and internal fixation of femoral neck fractures with cannulated compression screw assisted by TiRobot Orthopedic Robotic system, while the control group received artificial closed reduction and internal fixation. To collect following clinical data:①operation time,②blood loss,③fluoroscopy times,④drilling times,⑤measuring the angle between the screws according to Postoperative X-ray,the angle between each cannulated screw and the femoral neck axis,⑥hospital stay,⑦complications during in hospital, such as fixation loosening, deep venous thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, vascular or nerve injury, poor wound healing, infection and so on.⑧X-ray films of the postoperative outpatient.Results:48 patients were included in the study, and 24 cases were divided into experimental group, including 9 males and 15 females, aged 29~72 years, the average age was 55.31±5.26 years.According to Garden classification, they were 4 cases of type Ⅰ,20 cases of type Ⅱ.24 cases were divided into control group, including 8 males and 16 females, aged 32~69 years, the average age was 54.17±5.18 years.According to Garden classification, they were 3 cases of type Ⅰ,21 cases of type Ⅱ.48 patients were all fixed with three parallel cannulated compression screws.During hospitalization, none of them developed complications, such as fixation loosening, deep venous thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, vascular or nerve injury, poor wound healing, infection. The operation time of the experimental group was shorter than that of the control group(P<0.05).Blood loss of experimental group was less than the control group(P<0.05),the experimental group in intraoperative fluoroscopy times and drilling times were significantly less than the control group(P<0.05),there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in patients’ length of hospital stay(P>0.05),there was significant statistically difference in the angle between any of two screws, the angle between each cannulated screw and the femoral neck axis.(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with traditional cannulated compression screw internal fixation,TiRobot Orthopedic Robotic system navigation can reduce the operation time, blood loss, and fluoroscopy times in the treatment of undisplaced femoral neck fractures.Fewer drilling times lead to less damage to femoral neck and femoral head.It also makes better location of the screws.
