Clinical Observation Of Shentong Zhuyu Decoction On Early Limb Swelling And Pain After Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction

Objective:To observe the efficacy of Shentong Zhuyu Decoction on early limb swelling and pain after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction,and to provide more options for the treatment of early limb swelling and pain in patients after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.Methods:Sixty patients who were admitted to the Department of Sports Medicine of the Second Hospital of Fuzhou City,Xiamen University from January 2020 to October 2020 and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were randomly divided into a control group of 30 patients,including 19 males and 11 females with a mean age of(32.47±11.58)years;and a test group of30 patients,including 16 males and 14 females with a mean age of(34.03±12.89)years old.In the control group,conventional treatment was given after surgery,while in the experimental group,oral treatment with Shentong Zhuyu Decoction was given on top of the treatment in the control group for a total of 14 days.Calf swelling,thigh swelling,VAS score,prothrombin time,D-dimer,platelets,C-reactive protein,Lysholm score and TCM evidence score and adverse drug reactions on postoperative day 1,7 and 14 were recorded in the two groups,respectively,and statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 25.0.Results:1.There were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in terms of gender,age,side of injury,operation time,Lysholm score,and preoperative laboratory tests(P >0.05).2.The swelling of calf and thigh improved in both groups after treatment(P < 0.05).And compared between groups,the test group was better than the control group in improving the swelling degree(P < 0.05).3.Pain was reduced in both groups after treatment(P < 0.05).And compared between groups,the test group was better than the control group in reducing pain(P < 0.05).4.Laboratory indices improved in both groups after treatment compared with the previous ones(P < 0.05).And compared between groups,the test group was better than the control group in improving the laboratory indexes(P < 0.05).5.Lysholm scores improved in both groups after treatment(P < 0.05).And compared between groups,the test group was better than the control group in functional recovery(P <0.05).6.The total effective rate was 90.00% in the test group and 83.33% in the control group,and the efficacy of the test group was better than that of the control group(P < 0.05).Conclusion:Shentong Zhuyu Decoction can improve the coagulation function of patients after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction,reduce the post-traumatic inflammatory response of the body,improve the swelling and pain of the affected limb,and further promote the functional recovery of the knee joint of the affected limb.
