| Objective:To observe the effect of Zengye decoction combined with audio frequency electrical stimulation on neurogenic intestinal dysfunction(constipation with Yin deficiency intestine dryness syndrome)after spinal cord injury,and to optimize the therapeutic scheme.Methods:A total of 60 patients with neurogenic intestinal dysfunction(constipation with Yin deficiency intestine dryness syndrome)after spinal cord injury were selected from our department from January 2020 to January 2021,they were randomly divided into two groups:control group(30 cases)and test group(30 cases).The control group was given the routine diet instruction and the audio frequency electric stimulation.The audio frequency electric stimulation acted on the abdomen(Tianshu acupoint)with 2000 hz sine wave electric current for 30min/time,once/day,for 4 weeks.The experimental group was treated with Zengye decoction for 4 weeks on the basis of the control group.Patients were evaluated with Wexner constipation score,Bristol stool scale score(Bristol),and quality of life index PAC-QOL before and after treatment,to observe the improvement of constipation symptoms,intestinal transit time,quality of life and satisfaction.Results:1.Baseline: before treatment,sex,age and injury level of the two groups were comparable(P > 0.05).2.Wexner constipation scale score: after 4 weeks of treatment,Wexner constipation scale scores of both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(p < 0.05).After 4weeks of treatment,the Wexner constipation scale in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group(p < 0.05).3.Bristol stool scale score: after 4 weeks of treatment,the Bristol stool scale scores of both groups were significantly higher than before treatment(p < 0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment,the Bristol stool scale score of the test group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(p < 0.05).4.The score of PAC-QOL: after treatment,the three dimensions of physiology,psychology,worry,satisfaction and total score of the two groups were significantly lower than before treatment(p < 0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment,the three dimensions of physiology,anxiety,satisfaction and total score of the test group were lower than those of the control group(p < 0.05),and the psychological dimension of the test group was lower than that of the control group after 4 weeks of treatment,but the difference was not statistically significant(p > 0.05).5.Clinical efficacy: the total effective rate of the treatment group and the control group for neurogenic intestinal dysfunction(constipation with Yin deficiency intestine dryness syndrome)after spinal cord injury was 96.67% and 70% respectively,the experimental group was better than the control group(p < 0.05).Conclusion:The treatment of Zengye decoction combined with audio frequency electrical stimulation can improve the constipation symptoms,shorten the intestinal transit time,and improve the quality of life and satisfaction of patients. |
