Clinical Observation Of Xuefuzhuyu Decoction Combined With Percutaneous Transforaminal Endoscopic Discectomy In The Treatment Of Lumbar Disc Herniation

Objective: To investigate the effect of Xuefuzhuyu Decoction combined with percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic discectomy(PTED)in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Methods: Randomly selected from The Second Hospital of Fuzhou,from December2019 to December 2020,60 patients with LDH(Syndrome of qi stagnation and blood stasis)are proposed PTED,and divided into two groups.Control groups take surgery and symptomatic treatment.The experimental group drank Xuefuzhuyu Decoction after surgery,a total of 2 weeks.All patients were followed-up for 2 weeks.The VAS score,JOA score and low back muscle endurance of patients in both groups were recorded,then compared between the clinical outcomes of 2 groups.Results: One case fell off in each group,and 58 cases were finally completed.No serious adverse reactions occurred in all patients.There are 29 cases in the experimental group,The postoperative VAS scores of experimental group and control group were lower than those before operation,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The JOA scores of patients in the experimental group and control group were higher than those before operation,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The JOA scores of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group at 2 week,1 month,2 month after operation(P<0.05).The endurance of the low back muscles in the experimental group was better than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Two months after the operation,all patients’ symptoms were improved,and the total cure rate was 91.4%.Among them,the experimental group was cured in 27 cases(93.2%)and improved in 2 cases(6.8%).In the control group,26 cases were cured(89.6%)and 3 cases were improved(10.4%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: Xuefuzhuyu Decoction can relieve the pain after PTED and accelerate the recovery.It is a safe and effective method for the treatment of lumbar disc herniation(syndrome of qi stagnation and blood stasis)and is worthy of popularization.
