| Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of vacuum sealing drainage(VSD)combined with recombinant human epidermal growth factor(rh EGF)for the wound of diabetic foot ulcer(DFU).Methods 56 patients with DFU were randomly divided into two groups according to different treatment methods,28 patients in each group. One group was treated with VSD and rh EGF,the other group was treated with VSD alone.Respectively compared two groups of indicators as follows:the total usage time of VSD,visual analog scale(VAS)of prior treatment、treatment 1 week、2 weeks and 4 weeks later, percentage of ulcer healing area after treatment 1,2 and 4 weeks later, the total effective rate of wound healing after 4weeks of treatment, complications and adverse reactions during treatment. Results The total time to stop VSD in the VSD and rh EGF group was shorter than that in the VSD group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);VAS of the VSD and rh EGF group were better than those of the VSD group at different time periods after treatment, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05);The percentage of ulcer healing area in the VSD and rh EGF group was better than that in the VSD group at different treatment stages, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05);The wound healing effect of the VSD and rh EGF group was significantly better than that of the VSD group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no adverse reactions or complications during the treatment in the two groups. Conclusion VSD combined with rh EGF in the treatment of DFU can promote the growth of wound granulation tissue, which can also reduce the time of wound healing, the pain of patients and the time and times of VSD use,so as to reduce the hospitalization cost and long-term bed time of patients. It is an effective and safe treatment method, which is worth popularizing and applying in clinic. |
