Objective: A comparative study of the short-term outcome of arthroscopic partial meniscectomy and suture repair in the treatment of meniscal injury and compare the effects of two operation on knee joint function after meniscus injury in order to provide some factual basis to make the choice of surgical methods after meniscus injury. Methods: A total of 100 cases of meniscus injury from September 2016 to March2018 in the Department of orthopaedics of Yichang Second People’s Hospital were collected.A total of 50 patients met the inclusion criteria were divided into partial meniscectomy group and suture group. All the above patients underwent arthroscopic surgery by the same experienced and skilled doctor in our hospital.Among them,30 patients underwent partial meniscectomy and 20 patients underwent meniscectomy. After surgery, combined with the concept of rapid rehabilitation, the two groups were given systematic functional exercises and followed up after discharge. The follow-up time was 3months,6 months and 9 months after operation.According to Lysholm score and VAS pain score of knee joint, which were followed up for 3 months,6 months and 9 months before and after operation, the scores were determined and the corresponding time scores were obtained. This study was approved by the Hospital Ethics Committee and carried out with the consent of patients.Partial meniscectomy group and suture group. Results: Among them,50 patients met the inclusion criteria of this study,30 cases in partial resection group, with an average age of(34.67±1.04)years.20 cases in the suture group, with an average age of(34.30±1.11)years.The age of the two groups was analyzed by variance analysis, there was no significant difference(P>0.05).The operation time of partial resection group was(46.40±7.44)min,and that of suture group was(49.20±5.61)min,The operation time of the two groups was analyzed by variance analysis, there was no significant difference(P>0.05).The partial meniscectomy group:The VAS score before operation(5.10±1.21)was compared with 3 months(1.50±0.57),6 months(1.17±0.65)and 9 months(0.90±0.48)after operation analyzed by ANOVA,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The Lysholm score before operation(42.57±2.40)was compared with 3 months(83.17±4.68),6 months(89.60±3.83)and 9 months(89.77± 3.62)after operation analyzed by ANOVA,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Suture group:The VAS scores of preoperative(5.00 ± 1.41)was compared with 3 months(2.55±0.76),6 months(1.25±0.55)and 9 months(0.95±0.51)after operation analyzed by ANOVA,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The Lysholm score before operation(42.10±1.77)was compared with3 months(66.35 ± 8.19),6 months(87.85 ± 5.11),and 9 months(90.20 ± 5.26)after operation analyzed by ANOVA,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The VAS scores of the two groups before operation,6 months after operation and9 months after operation were analyzed by ANOVA,there was no significant difference(P>0.05).The VAS scores of the two groups at 3 months after operation were analyzed by ANOVA,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The Lysholm scores of the two groups were analyzed by ANOVA before operation,6 months and 9 months after operation, there was no significant difference(P>0.05);The Lysholm scores of the two groups at 3 months after operation were analyzed by ANOVA,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The excellent and good rate of Lysholm score was tested by Chi-square test at 3 months after operation in the two groups, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: 1.Arthroscopic partial meniscectomy for meniscus injury is effective in relieving knee pain, improving clinical symptoms and restoring knee function.2.Arthroscopic meniscus suture for meniscus injury is effective in relieving knee pain, improving clinical symptoms and restoring knee function.3.Partial meniscectomy within 3 months after operation is better than suture in relieving knee pain, improving clinical symptoms and restoring knee function.
