ObjectiveTo discuss the effect and mechanism of“Spirit-regulation formula”with acupuncture on GD,by observing the clinical trails of acupuncture method combing with methimazole, which will provides a new treatment manner.Methods1.According to the randomized control,sixty-six patients were divided into the observation group and the control group, each of 33 cases. Both groups were given general treatment, such as enough rest,Iodine-free diet,etc.2.The control group was treated with MMI,in addition, the other group was treated with "Spirit-regulation" method. The acupuncture formula was sishencong, shenting, yintang, neiguan, sanyinjiao, hegu, taichong, tianshu,Zhongwan and guanyuan, which was founded by Prof.Zhang Hong.3 times a week for 3 months.3.The function and volume of thyroids, the scores of HAMA,HAMD,PSQI and TCM syndrome scores were assessed as effectiveness before and after treatment.4.The adverse reactions including leukopenia and abnormal liver function during the treatment, were regarded as safety evaluation.ResultsAt last, there were 61 cases in total,31 cases allocated into treatment group and 30 into control group. After a 3-month course, both groups have improved the function of thyroids,HAMA,HAMD,PSQI,and TCM syndrome scores. In fact, the experimental group was more effective comparing with the control group, the difference between them was statistically significant(P<0.05).As for reducing the volume of the thyroids, the treatment group was effective, while the control group had no obvious effect, and the differences between them were comparable(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was 93.3%while the control group was 87.1%(P<0.05).Concerning the adverse effects, there was no significant difference between the two groups.ConclusionComparing the therapy, the clinical effect of "Spirit-regulation formula"with acupuncture combined with medicine on GD is better than that of western.medicine alone, and it has significant effect on reducing the volume of the thyroids and relieveing insomnia, which is worthy of clinical promotion. |
