Objective Drug use and sexual route can spread HIV,HCV and HEV,as well as syphilis. If a patient is infected with several pathogens at the same time,it will aggravate the patient’s condition and accelerate the death of the patient.Guangxi is a high prevalence area of HIV.Previous studies have focused on the combination of a single pathogen such as hepatitis B and hepatitis C virus. There are few reports that HIV patients are infected with several pathogens at the same time. Therefore,we have carried out a study on the combination of HCV/HEV/syphilis in 497 HIV infected people from Guangxi. Finally,we have carried out a study on the genotype of HEV in order to prevent and control HIV in the future And provide reference for treatment. Methods Taking HIV sentinel surveillance in Guangxi as the scene,HIV sentinel surveillance objects were recruited by snowballing.Blood samples were collected from HIV infected people.3-5ml blood samples were collected from each patient. The samples were stored at-80℃ after serum separation.HCV,HEV and syphilis infection were diagnosed by detection of HCV antibody,HEV Ig M antibody and Treponema pallidum antibody, all of which were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The positive Ig M antibody samples of hepatitis E virus were further detected by PCR,the PCR products were purified and sequenced, the obtained HEV sequences were further compared with the reference sequences published by NCBI by using the bioinformatics software MEGA7.0,the phylogenetic tree was constructed, and the genotype of HIV infected population was determined. Results Among 497 HIV/AIDS plasma samples,202 cases were positive for anti-HCV,the infection rate was as high as 40.64%;5 cases were positive for anti-HEV Ig M,the positive rate was 1.01%;87 cases were positive for Treponema pallidum, the infection rate was as high as 17.51%.Among 497 HIV patients,218 were infected with HIV alone,187 with HIV + HCV mode(male174,female 13),72 with HIV + syphilis mode(male 36,female 36),15 with HIV + HCV + syphilis mode(male 12,female 3),and 5 with HIV + HEV mode(male 2,female 3).Five plasma samples of anti-HEV Ig M antibody positive patients were further detected by RT-nested PCR after nucleic acid was extracted. The results showed that one patient was HEV RNA positive. The PCR products of this positive sample were further cloned, sequenced and compared. At last, the genotype of this patient could not be determined in the known 8 genotypes, which could not be ruled out as a new genotype. Conclusions In this study, through the pathogenic detection of HCV,HEV and syphilis in 497 HIV infected people in Guangxi sentinel surveillance population,it was found that some HIV infected people were infected with other pathogens, the highest proportion was hepatitis C virus, followed by Treponema pallidum, and the infection rate of hepatitis E virus was low.In the end,the genotype of this patient could not be determined in the known 8 genotypes. It is not excluded that it may be a new genotype, which is worth further study.
