Urho of Karamay City is located in the northwest of Xinjiang.There are many sparse lands,residents have wide courtyard and rich labors.It is advantageous that make use of the land,light,heat and other resources to develop courtyard economy,especially courtyard vegetables in local areas.Meanwhile,developing the vegetable cultivation mode of courtyard plastic arch shed in spring early-autumn late is significantly practical for increasing farmers’ income,enriching local agricultural development mode and optimizing local ecological environment.This study concluded 10 cultivation modes of garden vegetables by investigating and analyzing the varieties,plant spacing,sowing date,planting period,initial harvest date,final harvest date,yield,average unit price,production cost and other indicators of garden vegetable cultivation in Urho District.Besides,Effective control of aphids in pepper production by using yellow plates At last,the main quality differences were compared and analyzed between garden vegetables in Urho District and those in Beiyuan Spring Market in Urumqi City.The results are as follows:(1)The garden vegetable cultivation in Urho District is mainly based on open field cultivation and plastic arch shed cultivation,and some gardens are potted vegetables;The cultivation mode is mainly green-leaved vegetables with more than one year stubble,combined with plastic arch shed for early spring-late autumn cultivation of solanaceous vegetables.(2)Seven cultivation models that suitable for gen eral planting in the farmer’s courtyard in Urho District were selected,including four garden arch shed vegetable cultivation models.Mode 1 Early spring Spinach-Lettuce Interplanting Coriander-summer Coriander-autumn delayed Spinach;Mode 2:Spring early Coriander-Coriander-summer Kidney Bean-after autumn Pakchoi;Mode 3:Spring early Water Radish-Coriander-autumn delayed Chili;Mode 4:Spring Early Coriander-Fennel-Summer ScallionAutumn Extension Oily Vegetable;Mode 7:Early Fennel-Oil Wheat Vegetable-summer Spinachautumn Onion;Mode 9:Shallot-Celery;Mode 10:shallots-water radish-garlic seedlings.The cultivation mode of model 1,2,3 and 4 are garden plastic greenhouse,meanwhile model 7,9,10 are garden open field.The annual net income of these seven models is higher than 5000 yuan/667m2,among which the model 1 is the highest in one year,and the annual net income can reach 24617 yuan/667m2.(3)In the early stage of aphid occurrence,the yellow sticky board had obvious effect on the trapping of garden pepper-winged aphids.The trapping effect was the best the yellow plate hung in the north of the pepper field and hanging height was 1 m.The average insect trapping amount was 34.19 heads/d,29.90 heads/d,The yellow plate has obvious control effect on the garden pepper aphids,After the 50 days of hanging the yellow plate,the control effect of the suspension of a yellow plate at 20 m2 reached 60.02%.(4)The vitamin C,soluble protein,soluble sugar and total acid quality indicators of garden vegetables in Wuerhe District were significantly different from those sold in Beiyuan Spring market in Urumqi.The content of vitamin C in garden leeks,lettuce,eggplant,wormwood,cucumber,radish and oil cabbage was 30.14%,33.17%,32.71%,49.75%,47.50%,56.70%,19.18%respectively higher than those of commercial vegetables;The soluble protein content of eggplant,pepper and lettuce was 26.64%,43.94%,40.41%and 15.61%higher than that commercial vegetables respectively.The soluble sugar content of garden amaranth,lettuce,artemisia,spinach,pepper,lettuce and coriander was 11.11%43.19%,13.87%,49.61%,46.69%,15.19%,8.47%higher than the market,garden tomatoes,leeks,lettuce,eggplant,sage,cucumber,radish,and oil cabbage were 28.63%,27.55%,49.34%,22.14%,13.77%,46.30%,31.36%,37.29%respectively higher than the commercially available vegetables.(5)There were differences in nitrate content and average inhibition rate of fast-measuring enzymes between courtyard vegetables in Urho District and those in Beiyuan Spring Market in Urumqi City.The nitrate content and average inhibition rate of fast-measuring enzymes in courtyard vegetables in Urho were lower than those in market vegetables in terms of tomato,leek,lettuce,eggplant,artemisia,cucumber,spinach,pepper,radish,lettuce,coriander and cabbage.
