Aralia continentalis is a perennial herb of Aralia in Araliaceae. In this paper, the characteristics of Aralia continentalis seeds, water absorption, germination environment, germination methods and the effects of environmental conditions on plant growth were studied. The main results are as follows:The results showed that the 1000 grain weight of Aralia continentalis seeds was0.6756g(±0.0059g),the pericarp is purple black, without pores, containing silicon, aluminum, chlorine and potassium. The seeds are Beige yellow, kidney shaped, asymmetric at both ends, blunt at the upper end, sharp at the lower end, with cross grain structure on the surface, pores between the cross grains, containing copper, zinc and calcium Its length is about 1.76(±0.07)mm and width is about 1.07(±0.04)mm.Corrosive solutions such as sodium hypochlorite, sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid can change the trafficability of seed coat, which is characterized by the shortening of water absorption saturation time and the change of water holding capacity of seeds. The germination method and the influencing factors in the germination process of Aralia continentalis were studied.Oxygen is an important factor in the germination process. The germination experiment was carried out by using different concentrations of corrosive agents, hormone agents and physical treatment and combination treatment. The effect was significant,so the dormancy type of the seeds was comprehensive dormancy. The germination rate of seeds was 58.7% in 31 d,and the combination treatment with 5% sodium hypochlorite solution for 4h and 50mg/L ethylene for 2h was also significant. The results of 250mg/L gibberellic acid and 50mg/L ethylene treatment were the best in hormone treatment. The germination of seeds by grinding seeds with silica had no significant change compared with the control group The germination rate of seeds treated with 3% hydrogen peroxide was slightly higher than that of the control group. After 5% and 7.5% hydrogen peroxide treatment, the germination rate and germination potential were lower than that of the control group, and decreased with the increase of concentration. Therefore, hydrogen peroxide was not suitable for the germination process of Aralia continentalis seeds. The germination rate of mixed seeds and sand can improve the germination rate, and the mixed germination rate with peat soil was significantly lower than that of the control group. The results showed that the seedling rate of Aralia continentalis was the highest in the pine needle humus environment, followed by garden soil, red soil and peat soil. The seedling rate of peat soil in 10 days was only 5%,which was not suitable for Aralia continentalis. The p H values of the four soil matrices were 5.85,8.42,5.69 and 6.87 respectively. The p H values of Aralia continentalis were determined to be 5.85,8.42,5.69 and 6.87 respectively The adaptability to soil is not only reflected in acid and alkali, for example,in the garden soil with p H value of 8.42,the emergence rate is also very high, which may be related to the physical characteristics of soil water conservation capacity and permeability. In the process of Aralia seedlings growth, the response of plant height and stem thickness to light intensity was greater than soil temperature. At this stage, proper increase of light would be beneficial to the growth and accumulation of organic matter.By studying the effects of different plant row spacing on plant height, ground diameter and aboveground biomass of Aralia continentalis in the natural environment,it is concluded that within the selected range of the experiment, the average growth of plant height, ground diameter and biomass increases with the increase of row spacing of colonized plants, and the improvement effects are row spacing 90 cm,row spacing70 cm > row spacing 80 cm,row spacing 55 cm > row spacing 90 cm and row spacing45 cm.The results showed that the aboveground biomass of adult plants increased with the increase of light intensity under outdoor natural light.
