The purpose of this experiment is to explore the effects of sugarcane tops wilting and the ratio of sugarcane tops or whole sugarcane stems to leaves on silage quality. In order to find out the best wilting time of silage sugarcane tops and the best stem-leaf ratio of sugarcane tops or whole sugarcane,it will provide a theoretical basis for the preparation of high-quality whole-plant sugarcane and sugarcane tops silage, and provide a new path for the development and utilization of sugarcane in Guangxi. The main research contents and results are as follows:Experiment 1: The effect of sugarcane tops wilting at 0 h,24 h,48 h on the quality of silageThis experiment mainly studied the effects of sugarcane tops wilting at 0 h(without wilted),wilted at 24 h and wilted at 48 h on the silage quality, with 4replicates for each treatment.Sampling and analysis after 255 days of silage. The results showed that compared with unwilted silage, wilted for 24 h and 48 h significantly increased p H(P<0.05),significantly reduced lactic acid content(P<0.05),and significantly reduced the number of yeasts and molds(P<0.05)The content of ammonia nitrogen in silage for 24 h wilting was significantly higher than that of other groups(P<0.05);the content of dry matter and acid detergent fiber in silage for 48 h wilting was significantly higher than that of other groups(P<0.05),and the number of clostridia was significantly higher.Higher than other groups(P <0.05);during the 8-day aerobic exposure period, wilting can inhibit the reproduction of Enterobacter, yeast and mold in sugarcane tops silage, but the p H will be greater than 5.0 faster than that of unwilted silage(≤7 days). In summary, wilting will limit the progress of fermentation but help to improve the conventional nutrient composition in the silage and inhibit the proliferation of yeasts before and after aerobic exposure.Relatively speaking, wilted 24 h before ensiling is the best.Experiment 2: The effect of sugarcane tops wilting at 0 h,36 h,60 h on the quality of silageThis experiment mainly studied the effects of wilted sugarcane tops at 0 h(without wilted),wilted at 36 h and wilted at 60 h on the silage quality, with 4replicates for each treatment.Sampling and analysis after 255 days of silage. The results showed that compared with unwilted silage, wilted 36 h and 60 h significantly increased the content of dry matter, crude protein and organic matter(P <0.05),significantly increased p H(P <0.05),and significantly reduced hemicellulose and crude silage.Ash content(P<0.05),significantly reduce the loss of silage(P<0.05),significantly reduce the content of ammonia nitrogen, lactic acid, acetic acid, butyric acid and propionic acid(P<0.05),and significantly reduce the number of clostridia, yeasts and molds(P <0.05),significantly increase the number of enterobacteria(P <0.05);during the 8-day aerobic exposure period, wilting can inhibit the growth of mold and yeast in the silage, but the p H will be faster than that of the unwilted silage.5.0(≤4 days). In summary, wilting will limit the progress of fermentation but help to improve the conventional nutrient composition in the silage and inhibit the proliferation of yeasts before and after aerobic exposure.Relatively speaking, wilted 36 h before ensiling is the best.Experiment 3: The effect of the mixing ratio of sugarcane tops’ s stems and leaves on the quality of silageThis experiment mainly investigates the influence of sugarcane tops stems and leaves on the silage quality after being mixed in different proportions. The experiment has 6 treatments: sugarcane tops(ST),100% leaves(100% L),100%stem(100% S),75% stem(75% S),50% stem(50% S),25% Stem(25% S),4replicates per treatment.Sampling and analysis after 215 days of silage. The results showed that the crude fiber content of ST,100% L and 25% S groups was significantly higher than that of other groups(P<0.05);the soluble carbohydrate content of 50% S group was significantly higher than that of other groups(P<0.05);the proportion of stems was significant affects the content of ammonia nitrogen in silage(P <0.05)and the 25% S group is the highest;ST,100% S,75% S and 50% S groups are not detected in enterobacteria;100% S group acetic acid, butyric acid and ethanol the highest content;during the22-day aerobic exposure, the 25% S group was more likely to breed enterobacter(≤2 days,P<0.001)and the ammonia nitrogen content increased;the 100% S group was inhibited in yeast reproduction(P<0.001)).In summary, the sugarcane tops can effectively increase the crude fiber and soluble carbohydrates in the silage after adjusting the stem-leaf ratio, and improve the aerobic stability of the silage, and the high-stem silage has a good inhibitory effect on the proliferation of enterobacter.Relatively speaking, sugarcane tops,75% stem and50% stem silage are the best after the separation of the stems and leaves of sugarcane.Experiment 4: The effect of the mixing ratio of the whole sugarcane’s stems and leaves on the silage qualityThis experiment mainly investigates the effect of the whole sugarcane stems and leaves on the silage quality after being mixed in different proportions. The experiment set up 6 treatments, namely whole plant sugarcane(WS),sugarcane tops(ST),100% stem(100% S),75% stem(75% S),50% stem(50%S),25% stem(25% S),4 replicates per treatment.Sampling and analysis after215 days of silage. The results showed that the silage p H of each group was lower than 3.8;the dry matter, acid detergent fiber and crude ash content of the ST group were significantly higher than other groups(P <0.05),and the crude protein, hemicellulose and organic content were significantly lower than the other groups(P<0.05);the crude fiber content of ST and 25% S group was significantly higher than other groups(P<0.05);enterobacteria were not detected in WS,100% S,75% S and 50% S groups;100% S group was acetic acid, butyric acid and ethanol content is the highest, followed by WS and 75%S groups;during the 14-day aerobic exposure, the number of yeasts and molds in ST and 25% S groups decreased and the p H was stable(always lower than3.7);the p H of the WS group It is faster than 5.0(≤4 days,P <0.001)and the lactic acid content decreases. In summary, the sugarcane tops can effectively increase the crude protein, crude fiber and other conventional nutrients in the silage after adjusting the ratio of stem and leaf, and improve the aerobic stability of the silage, and the high stem silage has a good inhibitory effect on the proliferation of enterobacter.Relatively speaking, the silage of sugarcane tops,50% stem and 25% stem were the best after the stems and leaves of the whole sugarcane were separated. In general, the silage of sugarcane tops wilted for 24 h~36 h is the best. After the sugarcane tops’ s stems and leaves are separated, they are separated according to the sugarcane tops,75% stem and 50% stem, and the whole sugarcane’s stem and leaves are separated according to the sugarcane tops,50%stem and 25% stem respectively mixed and the silage is the best.
