| Chinese wolfberry,Lycium spp.distribute and are cultivated in Inner Mongolia,Ningxia,Gansu,Xinjiang as a good medicinal and nutritional health shrubs.They are also a very good ecological protection forest species.Myzus persicae is one of the more serious aphids harmful to Chines wolfberry.The use of chemical pesticides has caused the resistance of Chinese wolfberry pests,excessive pesticide residues in fruits,environmental pollution,limited export of products,and reduced farmers’ economic income.Therefore,it is very important to look for biological control ways with low toxicity and environmental protection.Banker plant system is a new method of rearing and releasing natural enemies,which combines the characteristics of conservation and supplementary biological control,and is a feeding unit that can sustain natural enemies for a long time.Aphelinus albipodus is a parasitical wasp of M.persicae.The functional response of A.albipodus to M.persicae and the effect of intraspecific interference on aphid control were studied in order to assess the ability of the wasp as a biological control agent of Chinese wolfberry aphids.it is very important to construct an aphid banker plant system with M.persicae as the target pest and Chinese wolfberry as the target crop and A.albipodus as the candidate beneficial organism.The results are as follows:1.The feeding and parasitism of A.albipodus on M.persicae of different instars gradually increased with the increase of density and then tended to be stable,the parasitic functional response of predator conforms to the HollingⅡ disk equation.A.albipodus fed on M.persicae at mixed age,followed by 1-2 and 3-4 instars,fed on M.persicae at no-wing age,fed on M.persicae at 3-4 instars,fed on M.persicae at 1-2instars,fed on M.persicae at no-wing age and mixed instars.2.Intraspecific disturbance had significant effects on parasitic ability of A.albipodus.The higher the self-density,the lower the parasitic rate and the greater the intensity of apportionment competition.The intraspecies interference effect was consistent with the Hassell-Varley model.In a certain living space,the parasitism rate decreased with the increase of the density,and there was intra-specific apportionment competition,and the competition intensity was positively correlated with the density.3.A.albipodus can parasitize M.persicae and Rhopalosiphum maidis.There are no significant differences in parasitism,development duration,eclosion rate and sex ratio between the two hosts.R.maidis is not harmful to Chinese wolfberry,so R.maidis can be used to replace M.persicae.4.R.maidis do not significantly harm Chinese wolfberry through the harm-testing of four candidate alternative host aphids.A.albipodus was able to complete its life cycle on M.persicae and R.maidis,thus selecting R.maidis as the alternative host to construct the Chinese wolfberry-wheat(corn)-R.Maidis-A.albipodus system for control of Chinese wolfberry aphid.Wheat has short growth period compared to corn,so it is better to use wheat as the bank plant. |
