Myzus persicae is an important agricultural pest, which sucks plant phloem. It damages more than 400 kinds of plants in 50 families and reduces the yield of many crops.2-ethylimidazole was selected to determine its contact toxicity, systemic action and repellent effect on Myzus persicae, and its effect on ACh E,GST and ATPase activities was determined to analyze its lethal mechanism;the synergistic toxic effect of2-ethylimidazole and other five essential oil components on M.persicae was determined. The results are as follows:(1)The LC50of 2-ethylimidazole was 0.47 g/L.(2)(R)-(-)-Carvone,4-Isopropylbenzyl alcohol,Ethyl salicylate and Diethyl maleate, the four components of essential oil,all had enhancing effect on 2-ethylimidazole.The synergistic ratios of(R)-(-)-Carvone,4-Isopropylbenzyl alcohol,Ethyl salicylate and Diethyl maleate to 2-ethylimidazole were 1.48,1.83,1.80 and 2.30,respectively.4-Methoxyallylbenzene was antagonistic to 2-ethylimidazole,and its synergistic ratio was 0.83.(3)2-ethylimidazole was the most effective drug in root, root>stem>leaf. The LC50values of root and stem were 2.28g/L and 4.69 g/L,respectively.The LC50values of leaf front and leaf back were 7.41 g/L and 7.00 g/L,respectively.(4)The repellent effect of 2-ethylimidazole on M.persicae was related to the concentration of 2-ethylimidazole.The repellent rates of 4 g/L,6 g/L,8 g/L and 10 g/L2-ethylimidazole were 32.1%,45.3%,63.4%and 80.3%respectively.(5)2-ethylimidazole inhibited the activities of GST,Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase and Na+-K+-ATPase in Myzus persicae, and the inhibition rate of Na+-K+-ATPase increased with the increase of 2-ethylimidazole concentration.2-ethylimidazole had no effect on ACh E activity in M.persicae.
