The Clinical Efficacy And Safety Of Compound Fenbendazole Chewable Tablets On Worms In Dogs

The study is based on "the field test guidelines of anthelmintic efficacy evaluation in pet".The clinical curative efficacy and the security of compound fenbendazole vermifuge piece for dogs infected with the worms are to be evaluated by Phase Ⅱ clinical trials and Phase Ⅲ clinical trials.Phase Ⅱ clinical trials has a total of five test groups with a blank control group(no administration),control group(compound febantel tablet),recommended drug group,half dose group and double dose group.Both the recommended dose group and the control group have 30 cases,and each of all the other three groups has 10 cases.All of them are naturally infected with worms.Clinical examination and laboratory tests show they hadn’t any other disease.Phase Ⅲ clinical trials has a total of two test groups.Each of both the control drug group(compound febantel tablet)and the recommended dose groups has 30 cases.All of them are naturally infected with worms.Clinical examination and laboratory tests showed no other disease.Eggs are identified and counted with light microscopy in Mc Master Egg Slide Counting Chamber,and recorded their eggs in per gram(EPG)feces.Each case was detected essential physical sign,common blood counts(CBC)and biochemical indexes.Comprehensive evaluation the clinical curative efficacy and the security of compound fenbendazole vermifuge piece for dogs infected with the worms.Phase Ⅱ clinical trial results confirmed that the compound fenbendazole vermifuge piece per dose or double the amount of 4.5kg piece of once oral have is remarkable effect to repel worms’ eggs of worms(roundworm,hookworm,whipworm,tapeworm)in dog gastrointestine at the seventh day.The insect repellent effect different between recommended drug group and drug control group is not significant.The results of essential physical sign,CBC and biochemical indexe showed that the compound fenbendazole vermifuge piece has no significant adverse effects on dogs in each dose group.Suggested that the compound fenbendazole vermifuge piece is clinically safe for dogs.Phase Ⅲ clinical trial results confirmed that the compound fenbendazole vermifuge piece per dose or double the amount of 4.5kg piece of once oral,eggs will be checked at seventh day.The insect repellent effect of case which has natural infected target worm(roundworm,hookworm,whipworm,tapeworm)is remarkable.The insect repellent effect different between recommended drug and drug control group is not significant effect.The results of essential physical sign,CBC and biochemical indexe showed that the compound fenbendazole vermifuge piece has no significant adverse effects on dogs in each dose group.Confirmed the compound fenbendazole vermifuge piece for dogs clinical application is safe and effective by Phase Ⅱ clinical trials and Phase Ⅲ clinical trials.
