In order to solve the contradiction between my country’s timber supply and demand,the Chinese Party Central Committee put forward the policy of"strengthening the construction of the national timber strategic reserve base".In 2013,the National Forestry and Grassland Administration launched a pilot project for the construction of national reserve forests.Henan Province,as the first batch of pilot provinces for the construction of the national reserve forest base,vigorously promoted the greening of the country,combined with the development of the local characteristic forestry industry,and carried out various forestry work in an orderly manner.The right time and right amount of irrigation is the key to the success or failure of afforestation,so water conservancy irrigation is the foundation,prerequisite and lifeblood of engineering afforestation.Based on the above background,in 2020,at the Eucommia ulmoides Forest Base of the National Reserve Forest in Gongyi City,Henan Province,two-year-old Eucommia ulmoides will be used as the research object.Under the condition of tree tray irrigation,the soil volumetric water content is monitored in real time through soil temperature and humidity sensors placed in different soil layers of the root system and intelligent collectors,and the dynamic changes of soil water content in Eucommia woodland under different irrigation conditions and the corresponding irrigation cycle are studied,discuss the irrigation system suitable for the local Eucommia ulmoides,and carry out irrigation engineering design research according to the determined irrigation system.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)The absorbing root system of Eucommia ulmoides 1~2 years old is mainly distributed in the 0~40cm soil layer.The soil water content of each soil layer was higher than the field water holding capacity 12h after irrigation;the soil volumetric water content at each measurement point was maintained at more than 70%of the field water holding capacity 10 days after irrigation;irrigation water volume was 60L/(tree·time),80L/(tree·time),100L/(tree·time),120L/(tree·time),140L/(tree·time),160L/(tree·time)correspond to 14d,16d,18d,22d respectively,23d,24d.(2)The irrigation quota is determined to be 120L/(tree·time)according to the soil water content of each soil layer at different times after the irrigation is stopped.The irrigation system of the young Eucommia ulmoides forest in this area is:the irrigation quota is 120L/(tree·time),and the irrigation period is 22d.According to 12h after irrigation and 10 days after irrigation,when the irrigation volume increased from 60L/(tree·time)to 120L/(tree·time),the soil water content at 25,35,and 45cm soil layers increased significantly,and when the irrigation volume continued to increase at this time,the water content growth rate is significantly reduced.It can be seen that when the irrigation volume reaches 120L/(tree·time),the soil water retention capacity of the 25,35,and 45 cm soil layers basically reaches the maximum,and increasing the irrigation volume cannot significantly improve the soil water holding capacity.From this analysis,120L/(tree-time)is more suitable as the irrigation quota for the young Eucommia ulmoides forest in this area.(3)Determine the scale of the irrigation project based on the experimental conclusions.Considering various factors,the designed irrigation period should be shorter than the theoretical irrigation period.Adjust the irrigation period of the irrigation quota of 120L/(tree·time)to 20d,and the irrigation quota of the project forest irrigation area is 14m3/mu.(mu,a Chinese unit of land measurement that is commonly 666.7 square meters)(4)Select Jinggou irrigation area as a typical irrigation area for irrigation engineering planning and design research.The irrigated area of Jinggou irrigation area is 23,000 mu,dominated by Eucommia ulmoides;the irrigation water source comes from river beach deep well water,which uses pumps to lift water;according to the topographical slope,a combination of transfer pumps and irrigation pumps is used between various irrigation areas to carry out water volume transfer and distribution;According to the irrigation area,the irrigation is carried out 12 hours in the day,and the water source area pumping pump station and transfer pumping station provide continuous water supply for 24 hours,and water storage regulating tanks are built in each irrigation area to store and adjust the water volume.
