Corn(Zea mays L.)is a C4 crop of the Gramineae family,which is a salt-sensitive plant.However,corn occupies an important position in the development and utilization of saline-alkali land,and is an important crop for improving soil and controlling salinity and developing economy in saline-alkali areas.With the change of climatic factors and the influence of human factors in farming management,the problem of soil salinization has gradually caused huge losses to my country’s agriculture and severely restricted the sustainable development of agriculture.S-Abscisic acid(S-Abscisic acid,natural abscisic acid)is one of the plant growth hormones with important physiological activities.In addition to having important functions in plant growth regulation,it also improves the plant’s ability to withstand adversity.Received great recognition.This study explored the effects of S-ABA seed soaking treatment under indoor conditions on the germination and activity of corn seeds under salt stress;under greenhouse conditions,the S-ABA seed dressing,spray treatment and the mixed use of the two were discussed,the effects of seedlings on corn seed germination and seedling growth under saline-alkali stress;the effects of S-ABA dressing and spraying treatment on corn growth and yield were discussed in a saline-alkali field environment,and the best S-induced resistance was selected.The specific research results are as follows:1.Different concentrations of NaCl treatment would have a certain inhibitory effect on the germination of corn seeds,delay seed germination,reduce the germination potential and rate of germination,inhibit the elongation and growth of seed sprouts and roots,and reduce the growth of corn seeds.α-amylase activity,and corn germination was most sensitive to adversity stress when the NaCl concentration is 90 mmol/L;After soaking the seeds with S-ABA at this salt concentration,the damage of salt stress to the seeds could be reduced,and the germination situation had been greatly improved.Among them,each index of corn germination reached the maximum when the concentration of S-ABA was 6mg/L,and the germination rate reached 95.00%.Compared with the control,the effect was significant,and it provided theoretical guidance for further exploration of S-ABA to alleviate the salt-alkali stress of corn.2.Under the saline-alkali soil culture conditions in the greenhouse,S-ABA seed dressing treatment could significantly improve the salt-alkali resistance of corn,promote the germination of corn seeds under salt-alkali stress,and protect the normal growth of seedlings.The best effect was when the concentration of S-ABA seed dressing is 2mg/10kg;At the same time,the corn without seed treatment was sprayed with S-ABA after the three leaves and one heart of the seedlings,and the salt-alkali resistance of the seedlings was also improved.And within a certain range,with the increase of spray concentration,the promotion effect showed a trend of first rising and then weakening,and the best effect was when the spray concentration of S-ABA is 50mg/L;After seed dressing and spraying,the plant height and root length of the seedlings,the fresh weight of the ground and underground parts,the root vitality,and the chlorophyll content of the seedlings were significantly higher than those of the salt-alkali control treatment,the SOD and POD activities of the roots and leaves of the seedlings were also improved,which greatly improved the ability of the corn antioxidant enzyme system to respond to salt-alkali stress;Through the combination of S-ABA seed dressing and spray treatment,the salt-tolerant ability of corn had been further improved,and the effect was better than any single treatment in seed dressing or spraying,the effect of S-ABA 2mg/10kg seed dressing + 50mg/L spray was the best,and the difference was significant compared with other treatments.3.In the saline-alkali field environment,the effect of S-ABA seed dressing and spraying treatment on improving the salt-alkali resistance of corn had been further verified.S-ABA could promote the growth of corn in different growth periods,increased the chlorophyll content of the leaves,increased the SOD and POD activities of the leaves,and increased the number of corn rows,thousand-grain weight and plot yield.Among them,S-ABA 2mg/10kg seed dressing + S-ABA and 2,4-epibrassin lactone 50+0.03mg/L spray had the best yield increasing effect,and the increase rate was as high as 29.08%.And in actual operation,it was easy to operate,efficient and green,which had good practical significance.
