| The relationship between agricultural scale and production efficiency is a hot topic in the discussion of development economics and agricultural economics.However,there are relatively few researches on the relationship between scale of land operation and the production efficiency of a single factor.Chemical fertilizer is the most important input factor in agricultural production,and the application efficiency of chemical fertilizer is often used to measure the degree of chemical fertilizer utilization.Based on the principle of minimum input cost and maximum output,the relationship between agricultural land production scale and technical efficiency of fertilizer application is worth studying.Litchi is the king of fruits in Lingnan of China.It is mainly produced and managed in Guangdong and Guangxi,and it is the cash crop to local farmers.It is of great practical significance to discuss whether litchi growers have appropriate planting scale under the existing application efficiency of chemical fertilizer in litchi production,that is beneficial to reduce the production cost and increase the income of litchi industry.This paper uses the panel data of the field survey in Guangdong and Guangxi fixed observation in 2017 and 2018 from August to September,the data is made from the national litchi and longan industrial technology system economic duty team.We use statistical analysis and stochastic frontier model and the threshold effect model and calculate methods of multivariate function litchi planting operation scale and the relationship between the fertilizer efficiency.The research objective of this paper is to explore the relationship between the number of acres planted in litchi and the technical efficiency of fertilizer application.The stochastic frontier function model is used to estimate the technical efficiency of fertilizer application,and the relationship between different litchi planting scale and the technical efficiency offertilizer application is analyzed.The threshold effect model is used to evaluate whether there is an inflection point value and the multivariate function model is used to obtain the relationship between the number of acres planted in litchi and the technical efficiency of fertilizer application.This paper studies relationship between litchi production and operation scale and fertilizer application efficiency,which is of practical significance to reduce the production input cost and scale production of litchi farmers.This paper draws the following conclusions:(1)The planting scale of litchi farmers is relatively small.The proportion of litchi under 9 mu was 55.87%.In litchi planting,fertilizer input factors accounted for more,accounting for 41.49% of the total production factors.(2)The technical efficiency of fertilizer application in litchi farmers is low,only 35.78%.The technical efficiency of fertilizer application of litchi farmers in Guangdong province is lower than that of litchi farmers in Guangxi.Yangxi county of Zhanjiang city in Guangdong province,which is the demonstration county with the highest technical efficiency of fertilizer application for litchi farmers,that is 37.40%.The demonstration county with the lowest technical efficiency of chemical fertilizer application for litchi farmers was Maonan district of Maoming city in Guangdong province,that is 34.71%.(3)Different litchi sizes have different effects on the technical efficiency of fertilizer application.The age of litchi growers,whether they use We Chat or not,and the income ratio of litchi have significant positive effects on the technical efficiency of fertilizer application in all the cultivated mu.The degree of land fragmentation has a significant positive effect on the technical efficiency of fertilizer application when the number of mu of litchi is more than 50 mu.(4)The optimal production scale exists in the number of mu of litchi planting.The threshold effect model was used to analyze the relationship between litchi planting scale and the technical efficiency of fertilizer application in 2017 and2018.There was a single threshold value.By using multivariate function,the relationship between litchi planting scale and the technical efficiency of fertilizer application is inverted "U".This paper makes the following Suggestions:(1)Adjusting the planting mu of litchi farmers and appropriate planting scale of litchi production can improve the technical efficiency of fertilizer;(2)Reducing the degree of litchi land fragmentation,which has a significant negative impact on the technical efficiency of litchi fertilizer application,and reduce the degree of litchi land fragmentation can improve the technical efficiency of fertilizer application;(3)Improving the cognitive ability of litchi growers.Litchi growers often use We Chat to receive information from the outside world quickly,which is conducive to improving the technical efficiency of fertilizer application. |
