| Broussonetia papyrifera(BP),which isknown as paper mulberry and perennial deciduous broad-leaved trees, belongs to the family of Moraceae. Those tender leaves contains about 20% protein and are of very important applied value.Studies reveal fermentation technology can improve the feeding value of BPleaves. In this paper, the fermentation by pickle water, growth performance and stress resistance fed woody forage of Oreochromis niloticus were studied.Streptococcus spp.have become an important pathogen in tilapia aquaculture worldwide, and caused serious economic losses, which hindered the healthy development of tilapia industry.Previous studies in aquaculture have suggested that many kinds of ingredient in woody forage have a good effect in promoting growth, improving fish properties, improving the non-specific immune system of fish and feed utilization.Feeding trials using a total of 810 juvenile Oreochromis niloticus with equivalent body weights before experiment, randomly assigned to 9 dietary treatments following a randomized complete block design. Each treatment was replicated 3 times with 30 fish each tank for a period of 13 weeks.Daily food consumption was approximately 4% of its body weight and fed twice at 9:00 and 16:00.Weighed the fish every two weeks. The dietary treatments were designated as: control diet(D1),a diet with6% BPleaves(D2),a diet with 6% fermented BPleaves(D6),a diet with 10% BPleaves(D3),a diet with 10% fermented BPleaves(D7),a diet with 6% BPleaves and 0.4%Chinese herb(CH,D4),a diet with 6% fermented BPleaves and 0.4% CH(D8),a diet with6%BP leaves and 0.6%Caulis dendrobii process by-product(CDPB,D5),a diet with 6%fermented BPleaves and 0.6%CDPB(D9),respectively.It makes no difference on the growth rate and feed utilization ratio fed different levels of BP or FBP.The results suggest that fermented BPleaves and CDPB supplementation have a positive effect on the non-specific immune system of fish.BPleaves and fermented BPleaves appears to reducing stress response.CH supplementation can promote extrahepatic transport of fatty acids. The result can be a guide for the production practice. |
