A large amount of dust will be generated during the production and processing of coal.Working in a dense dust environment for a long time will seriously threaten the health of the miners,which will make miners susceptible to pneumoconiosis.However,high concentrations of dust can easily cause explosion accidents and have a huge impact on the safety production of coal mines.Dust collector is a commonly used dust removal equipment in coal mines.Due to the poor water quality of coal mines,it is easy to block the internal nozzles and filters of the equipment,and coal dust is easy to stick to the filter bag,and the dust collector requires a lot of investment and maintenance in the later stage of operation.Besides,due to the large water consumption,and poor dehydration performance and other problems have led to the current inability to effectively control dust within the specified safety range.In order to solve the above problems,this paper developed a radial mixing cyclone powerful dust collector that integrates the three effects of dust extraction,purification and dehydration,and studied its purification characteristics to achieve high-efficiency dust removal.This paper uses a combination of theoretical analysis,experimental testing and on-site industrial tests to systematically study the purification characteristics of the radial mixing cyclone powerful dust collector,and provides a new idea for coal mine dust prevention and control.The main results are as follows:Developed a radial mixing cyclone powerful dust collector mainly composed of water inlet pipe,water distributor plate,radial mixing impeller,swirl blades,explosion-proof motor,dewatering grids,and polluted water tank.Without the use of nozzles,filter screens and filter bags,this equipment achieves efficient purification of dusty air through triple dust capture and double dehydration through water distribution,swirl atomization,dehydration and polluted water discharge.From the perspective of fluid dynamics,the flow-master Euler equation is used to analyze the movement process of air-liquid two-phase flow during the rotation of the radial mixing impeller,and the vector triangle of the air-liquid two-phase movement in the impeller was determined;The relationship between the energy changes of the phase flow was explored,and the law of the air-liquid two-phase flow movement inside the dust collector was revealed.The results showed that the liquid after high-speed atomization in the dust collector was dispersed after the air,and the higher tangential velocity than the air pushes the air,thereby reducing energy consumption.The dispersion,contact angle,and surface functional groups of the experimental coal dust were tested and analyzed.The particle size of the experimental coal dust is mainly concentrated in 0.878-74.59?m,and the contact angle between coal dust and water is?<90°,and the total absorption peak area of the hydroxyl group(-OH)and the hydrogen bond formed by the self-association of the hydroxyl group in the coal dust is relatively large.The results show that the surface of the tested coal dust is hydrophilic and easy to be wetted by liquid.Based on the self-built experimental platform,using the controlled variable method,the number of radial mixing impeller blades of the dust collector and the amount of water are adjusted,and the processing air volume,liquid-to-air ratio,and total volume of the dust collector under different variable conditions were obtained.The dust removal efficiency and pressure drop of dust and exhaled dust were compared and analyzed,and the optimal number of blades of the radial mixed impeller was determined to be 16,and the optimal water intake of the dust collector was 1.35 m3/h.The relationship between the dust removal efficiency of the dust collector and the air volume is analyzed through experiments,and the optimal processing air volume is determined to be 200.4 m3/min.In a coal washing plant in China's Shanxi Province,an industrial test of the radial mixed cyclone powerful dust collector was carried out.The results showed that:after adopting the research results,the dust concentration of total dust and respirable dust in the manned working area of the coal preparation workshop have been separated.The dust removal efficiency is lower than 4.2 mg·m-3 and 3.0 mg·m-3,and the dust removal efficiency is above 96%,and the application effect is remarkable.
