| In recent years,science and arts integrated with each other gradually and information visualization technology was applied in many fields.Through infographics design for museum exhibits,the public can effectively and accurately obtain and learn the scientific knowledge.As a large regional social education institute,Inner Mongolia Museum of Natural History is an important approach for the public to obtain the knowledge of natural science and culture.But some shortcomings exist for science popularization and propaganda of Inner Mongolia Museum of Natural History,for example,some information which are hard to understand cannot be got by the public easily.For this reason,now Inner Mongolia Museum of Natural History should make good use of information visualization technology to improve the public's ability of perceiving information.Based on analysis and consideration for such a situation,this paper carried out a field research for exhibit information spreading of Inner Mongolia Museum of Natural History,summarized current problems,and applied the unique advantages of information visualization into the exhibition of steppe plants of Inner Mongolia Museum of Natural History.A design system which focused on popularization of natural science knowledge and knowledge of some plants in the museum and put a secondary importance to promotion of natural science of Inner Mongolia,publicity of Inner Mongolia Museum of Natural History and improvement of civic scientific literacy was built.Finally,with steppe plants as the specific design object,this paper collected information of steppe plants,built the logical structure and conducted visual transposition.It presented the information of steppe plants in a way of infographics and applied it into different mediums,allowing information visualization technology to better serve the modernization construction of Inner Mongolia Museum of Natural History. |
