Saccharomyces cerevisiae is the first complete genome sequencing of eukaryotic organisms.Compare with the complex human genome,S.cerevisiae has a relatively simple gene composition and structure,it is often used as a model organism for functional genomics research. In this paper, the S.cerevisiae genome was used as research object.Based on the expression data of cell cycle,we analyzed the relationship between gene expression and sequence features(CAI,MFE),gene function in different phases of the cell cycle(G1,S,G2 and M).Results are as follows:1.There has correlation between gene expression and MFE of the cell cycle, but there was no significant correlation between gene expression and CAI.2.Gene expression is positively correlated with CAI at M phase, and the correlation is weak. The correlation is related to the periodicity of gene expression and the degree of gene expression change in cell cycle. There was a strong correlation between the expression and CAI during genes with little change in expression level.3.Gene expression is positively correlated with MFE at G1/G2 phase,The correlation is related to the periodicity of gene expression and the degree of gene expression change in cell cycle. The high expression of genes at G1/G2,the correlation between expression level and MFE is stronger.4.From the perspective of sequence features, the influence of CAI on gene expression is less than MFE.5.Gene modules of the cell cycle have significant differences in gene expression, codon usage, gene free energy, the function of these gene modules may be related to the cell cycle.
