The aim of this thesis research was to study the adenovirus as a vector for possible use in the human gene therapy. Recombinant adenovirus-5 vectors containing the Chinese hamster ovary cell (CHO) adenine phosphoribosyltransferase gene (aprt) have been constructed. Infection of aprt;There is an accumulation of antisense mRNA in the cells infected with the recombinant viruses in which the aprt gene was cloned in the opposite orientation to the viral E3 promoter.
