Abstract/Summary:
This paper describes in detail a project that was undertaken to create a series of online learning modules used in a blended learning application working with digital media to support learning in a traditional hands-on vocational class. The predominant form of digital technology used are interactive videos. This paper describes the research that was used to structure the project, the videos that were produced, the interactive elements and how they were integrated, and the supporting curriculum that was developed to complete the modules. It also describes the unique challenges to developing these types of resources and considers what was discovered in the development process. Plans to implement these resources in the future with actual college students is also referred to throughout the paper.
