Conflict is an inevitable thing in organizations that occur whenever two or more individuals or groups perceive incompatible interests or needs in their interaction.Although,conflict is not always a negative thing,the lack of control and management can cause catastrophic consequences that affect not only the individuals who are directly in touch with the conflictive situation but also the people to whom they are in touch with.Although,conflict affects all levels of organizations,from the front line staff to the CEO?s and Managers,conflict at the highest level tend to have major and fastest impact in the rest of the organization.The following study examines the relationship and connection of Intergroup Conflict at the Managerial level on employee's intragroup and intergroup interaction.The data of the study was collected from a sample size of 80 managers and 256 employees in a total of 16 Mexican companies;and was analyzed in SPSS statistical software,a reliability test,correlation and linear regression analysis was made to show the relationship.The results of the study shows that a Manager? perception of conflict between its peers affects positively the intragroup relationship of employees increasing the level of cohesion in the group,in the other hand,Manager? perception of conflict between its peers affect negatively the employee's intergroup relationship by decreasing the perception of good communication and friendly atmosphere between employees.As a conclusion,the study has a significant importance not only inter-group interaction research but also for organizational practices,as by showing the connection between the two variables,organizations can improve organizational performance and employee?s organizational climate by improving managers interaction.
