Competition and change are the theme of the world in the 21st Century.The management and operation mode of each enterprise has undergone many changes with the globalization of economy and the rapid development of technology,which brings not only huge potential market to the Management and Consulting industry,but also unprecedented challenges.Foreign Consulting companies have come into Chinese market and taken a significant market share.In the meanwhile,more and more domestic local companies have entered consulting market,which lead to a fierce competition situation in consulting industry.Core competitiveness is the most important and fundamental factor for enterprises to maintain healthy development and sustainable competition.Moreover,it is an important guarantee for enterprises to obtain good economic benefits.Due to the late start of Chinese consulting industry,many Chinese enterprises did not focus on the construction of core competence.With the development of ERP consulting industry and the influx of foreign ERP consulting companies,the congenital disadvantages in short of core competence gradually exposed and hindered the sustainable development of domestic ERP enterprises.As an ERP consulting company,the high turnover rate of employees and insufficient consultancy ability make Company A tired of coping with the endless customer demand.Under the situation of sharp competition from internal and external competitors,if the consulting enterprises want to have a stand in such fierce circumstances,they should establish the core competitive abilities which is superior to their competitors,and not to be imitated easily.Therefore,to cultivate the core competitiveness of enterprises has become a major problem faced by domestic consulting companies.On the basis of consulting and sorting out the research results of domestic and foreign scholars on the core competitiveness of consulting companies,Firstly,starting from the development status and Competitive environment of ERP consulting industry,this paper analyses the future development space of Company A,and combining the development status,operation status and external competition status of A company to analyze the competitiveness of Company A,and draws a conclusion that the competitiveness of Company A is insufficient.Then,based on the theory of core competence,this paper analyses internal capabilities of Company A and their impacts on business operation,and finds out the reasons of inadequate competitiveness of Company A.Making use of the method of C.ore Competence Identification,combining the advantages and disadvantages of Company A,the key elements of core competence of Company A are talent management ability,knowledge management ability and project management ability.Using the analytic hierarchy process to evaluate core competitiveness of Company A.with the help of evaluation results,we got the construction ideas of core competitiveness.Referring to the core competence building experience of the international well-known consulting companies,the paper puts forward suggestions and Countermeasures for building the three major capabilities which are cultivating the Availability of Talents,Building Knowledge Management Ability and improving project delivery capacity.So as to help Company A enhance its core competitiveness.
