In recent years,China has paid more and more attention to the adjustment of industrial structure,especially in the stage of high quality development.The restructuring of the industrial structure has been bent over the strings,and the changes in the industrial structure have contributed to the growth of the overall factor productivity,which has been proven in many economic and social development processes.To study the impact of industrial structural changes on total factor productivity,we can calculate the impact of the changes in our industrial structure and the impact of the overall factor productivity and the configuration of resources in various departments or departments.Therefore,it has important practical significance.Although many scholars have done a lot of research on industrial structure and total factor productivity,there are few literatures on the structural effect of total factor productivity growth from the perspective of industrial structure changes.Based on the existing theories and literature studies,this paper attempts to analyze the impact mechanism of industrial structure changes on total factor productivity,uses the Moore structure value and economic growth accounting method to describe the change of industrial structure,and calculates the change value of industrial structure,total factor productivity and decomposition,and construct dynamic model to estimate the impact of industrial structure change,technical effect and structural effect on total factor productivity from 1978 to 2016,and calculates the technical effect,structural effect,capital K,and the structural effect of labor L input factors respectively to contribute to the growth of total factor productivity.In addition,this article uses the DEA-Malmquist index method to study the internal structure of the industry,to subdivide the industry into 36 industries,to calculate the total factor productivity of each industry and to break it down into the four parts of technology efficiency,technological advancement,pure technological efficiency,efficiency,and scale efficiency,and to analyze the impact to the growth of all of the industrial structure of the industry in terms of the change of industry structure.The results of the study show that,between 1978 and 2016,the contribution of industrial structure change to total factor productivity growth is-1.6%.This is mainly due to the negative effect of structural effect on the growth of total factor productivity in the initial stage of reform and opening up.Except the initial period of reform and opening up,the structural effect has a positive contribution to overall factor productivity growth.The analysis results of econometric regression model also show that the influence of industrial structure changes on total factor productivity is positively correlated,but still less than the contribution of technical effect.From the perspective of six departments,the structure effects of other services industries,such as financial and real estate,have the largest contribution to the overall factor productivity(65%),whereas the structural effects of industrial and construction industry have a negative effect on the growth of the whole factor productivity,while at the same time,the contribution of capital elements plays a bigger role in the contribution of the elements structure effect,but the difference between the industries is also existed,and the contribution of the labor element structure effect to the whole factor productivity in the service industry such as finance and real estate increases up to 238.5%,which means that the labor force in China is gradually shifted to the service industry of the tertiary industry.With the development of the economy,the internal structure of industry has been constantly adjusted,and it has started to shift from the raw material mining and processing of traditional industries to new industries such as heavy industry,computer and communication,and there is a big difference in the contribution of structural changes to the growth of all factors in the overall factor of productivity.
