Moving object detection and tracking has always been a hot topic in the field of computer vision,which has a wide range of applications in video surveillance,human-computer interaction,intelligent transportation and so on.However,due to the complexity of the actual scene,such as illumination changes,background similar color interference,target occlusion and so on,the design of a robust and universal target detection and tracking algorithm is still facing enormous challenges.In this paper,several commonly used target detection and tracking algorithms are studied and analyzed.Based on the classical algorithm,some improvements are made to the target detection and tracking algorithm.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)The moving target detection algorithms in the static background are studied: optical flow,interframe difference and background difference.The ViBe algorithm is mainly studied.Combining three frame difference method and background dynamic degree,ViBe algorithm is improved from three aspects: background modeling strategy,adaptive threshold and adaptive update probability,which effectively solves the problems of "ghost" and disturbance of leaf shaking.(2)MeanShift-based tracking algorithm,CamShift tracking algorithm and particle filter tracking algorithm are studied.Aiming at building object model with only one colour feature in the past,the concept of salient color histogram is proposed to reduce background homochromatic interference.The target model is constructed by fusing salient color and motion features of the target.MeanShift algorithm is embedded in particle filter to optimize the particle convergence,reduce the number of particles needed for tracking,and improves the efficiency of traditional particle filtering algorithms.(3)In order to test and verify the improved target detection and tracking algorithm,this paper designs a moving target tracking test system based on Visual Studio 2010,combining MFC library and OpenCV vision library.Using the improved detection and tracking algorithm,the low-speed moving targets such as pedestrians and vehicles,can be tracked in real time,and the centroid coordinates and the size of the tracking frame of the current tracking target are given.
