With the development of the innovation era, there is a wave of makerspaces construction and operation around the world. For better cultivate talents, universities make full use of the advantages of libraries to create makerspaces, which could provide innovative services to student users. As a new thing, how to attract and retain student users and make makerspace a resident place for students to carry out activities,so as to ensure the continuous operation and healthy development,is an important issue for university library makerspace administrators. Therefore, this study takes the student users of the makerspaces in six university libraries as the research object, and summarizes the influencing factors of student user willingness through theoretical analysis, questionnaire survey and structural equation modeling. This dissertation firstly introduces the research background, the current status of domestic and foreign research, research significance and methods, the innovative points, research content and ideas.Secondly, the concepts and characteristics of the maker, makerspace and the university libraries makerspace are described.Related theories such as unified theory of acceptance and use of technoloy(UTAUT),SERQUAL theory, innovation diffusion theory, and perceived risk theory are also listed.Thirdly, combining the above theories and previous studies,a model of influencing factors on the willingness to use makerspace by student users in university libraries was proposed.7 independent variables(performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, service quality, personal innovation, perceived playfulness and perceived risk),3adjusting variables(gender, grade, and experience),and 1 dependent variables(usage intention)were determined. The variables are defined for student users in the makerspace in university libraries, and the preliminary assumptions are also made for the relationship between the variables. Finally,a questionnaire survey was designed based on the proposed models. The makerspaces of the six university libraries were used as the survey environment, and the student users as survey objects.the questionnaire of the preliminary research and formal, using SPSS and AMOS software, the data such as descriptive statistics, reliability and validity analysis, and inspection and correction of initial concept model, the hypothesis is tested for path, eventually come to the conclusion as follows:(1)The performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, service quality, personal innovation and perceived playfulness have a positive impact, and perceived risk has a negative impact on the willingness. The effects are: social influence(0.552)> service quality(0.535)> personal innovation(0.520)> performance expectancy(0.255)> perceived playfulness(0.223)> effort expectancy(0.085)> perceived risk(-0.020).The students' grade has a moderating effect on performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and service quality, while gender and experience have little moderating effect on the entire model.(2)According to above conclusion, suggestions are put forward to improve student users' willingness, for ensuring the continuous and high-quality operation of makerspaces:(1)identify the accurate position, highlight the features of personnels training, and combine online and offline to expand the publicity channels to enhance social influence;(2)rational planning of the layout and specifications, equip necessary equipments, set up management service department sand combine online and offline service systems to improve service quality;(3)carry out innovation education regularly, focus on pushing innovative content, and divide the area according to items to improve personal innovation;(4)cooperate with universities or enterprises to provide professional guidance, provide technical support for competitions and projects, carry out academic activities to support teaching and researching to improve performance expectancy;(5)organize interesting activities and pay attention to pushing interesting content to enhance perceived playfulness;(6)focus on freshmen's understanding of makerspace and guide students to use it correctly to enhance the effort expectancy;(7)seek financial support and set reasonable fees to avoid perceived risks.
