As a new wireless communication method,visible light communication(VLC)is considered to be the most promising wireless communication technology due to its advantages of no radiation and green environmental protection,which could solve the problem of wireless spectrum resources shortage.Recently,with the development of smart phones,mobile devices equipped with cameras have provided conditions for performing visible light communication in the aspect of technology.Compared with traditional communication method,the application of the cameras and the OLED screens for visible light communication is more beneficial in environmentally friendly,fast communication rate and low cost,which is more available in many special occasions such as airports and hospitals.In this thesis,a mobile device based on Android platform is used to study visible light communication.A novel visible light communication system based on LED array emission and array reception is designed.The system is applied to the actual scenarios such as weather detection and attendance register.The three-primary LED array is used as the transmitting end,which doubling the communication rate of communication system compared with the original binary source.The octal-encoded character set for commonly used Chinese characters is designed to promote the further application of communication system in the coding and decoding text messages.Aiming at the complex mobile environment and the high light intensity of the LED array on camera,a series of image optimization algorithms are designed to reduce the bit error rate of communication system.Client software and server decoding algorithm are designed.In order to test the application capability of the visible light communication system based on the Android platform,simulation experiments such as reading information and punch in for attendance were carried out in laboratory.
