With the rapid development of the times, all walks of life on the performance requirements of the communication system continues are increasing. As the 5G,Internet of things, radar, navigation and other requirements on the antenna are demanding, the antenna area is facing a greater challenge. The traditional rectangular waveguide antenna has a large bulk,a cumbersome processing,a long cycle production and excessive cost. The tiny microstrip antenna is easy to be integrated, however, its inherent loss is large, the power capacity is not enough, the crosstalk is large, the quality factor is low.which cannot meet the needs. In practical applications, the development of antenna is moving toward miniaturization, broadband, high Q value,multi-band,highly integrated. The integrated waveguide antenna of the substrate avoid the disadvantages of the traditional rectangular waveguide antenna and the microstrip antenna. Moreover,it has both of the advantages.which is derived from its special structure. It's just the special structure makes a big difference for the development of the antenna field. At present, most of the integrated waveguide antennas are applied to the low frequency band, especially the C band and the X band, which exist the problems of narrow bandwidth, large size and low gain. For substrate integrated waveguide antenna, the common solution is nothing more than slit and loaded metamaterials or Deformation of the semi-die substrate integrated waveguide antenna, however, the effect is not satisfactory. To this end, looking for new technology and unconventional design methods to make the substrate integrated waveguide antenna in the low frequency band with wide bandwidth, high gain, miniaturization and other advantages become the focus of the researchers. In view of the open question of the integrated waveguide antenna, this paper introduces two new antennas, respectively are integrated waveguide patch antenna and substrate integrated waveguide slot antenna. The first antenna is a substrate integrated waveguide patch antenna that combines the substrate integrated waveguide technology and patch technology.A 40mm*40mm*3mm size and a 4GHz(5.2GHz-9.2GHz)bandwidth makes the antenna be a miniaturized and ultra-bandwidth antenna. The bandwidth in the C-band far more than the vast majority of substrate integrated waveguide antenna, which is absolutely Adapt to the broadband requirements of the antenna. The biggest novelty of this antenna is its feed network, which loading the hole so that the electromagnetic can flow to the four directions. Then placed patch in four directions radiation to increase the area of the radiation patch therefore achieve the purpose of increasing bandwidth. The second antenna is based on the substrate integrated waveguide slot antenna, the antenna size is 40mm*40mm*3.2mm,the antenna bandwidth is 3.7GHz(8.4GHz-12.1GHz).The antenna uses coaxial feed, through loading the metal hole to make the electromagnetic energy flow to a specific direction, and then slit at the strongest electric field. The antenna's novelty lies in the fact that there is a patch in the middle of the gap that creates a coupling effect with the gap to increase the bandwidth. In addition, the position of the four gaps are extended to each of the right angles,so that the effective path of the radiation current to increase the bandwidth while saving the space of the antenna. The above two antennas are miniature and the bandwidth are much larger than the average substrate integrated waveguide antenna, which fill the bill of the contemporary antenna system.
