Throughout the hi story of Western art development is also the history of color development.The development of color is inseparable from the progress of oil painting technology.Due to the continuous exploration and efforts of generations of oil painters,color has been givenmenaningful symbolic meaning and various emotional forces,whichmakes the connotation pf the work more rich.All of thesae,thw expression of plane color plays an important role in the practice of oil painting.This paper mainly summariarizes the author's daily learning and practical experience conbined with personal works to elaborate and analyze the use of color plane language in the works and their respective understanding.The article consists of four parts.The first part is to sort out the historical changes of color planarization,and summarize the two main periods of color planarization development in Western painting,In the sescond part,according to the performance characteristics of color planarization,the article is divided into three aspects:the form of color expression of weakening space,the application of decorative color in the works(including the combination of picture composition and shape the balance of color layout,the form of high saturation color expression and the application of complementary color),the color taxture and stroke of the picture to combine their own works This article discusses the application at colar planarization in art practice.The fourth aspect is the exploration significance of color flat languageIn today's development of Chinese art,concrete painting occupies the main way of expression.Exploring and practicing the application of color flat language in artistic creation can enrich the axpression language of concrete painting and provide a new expression way for the nationalization of oil painting.
