Musical, born in Europe and America in the 19 th century,is a comprehensive form of artistic expression integrating music, dance, drama and many other stage performing arts.In the 1980 s,with the deepening of reform and opening up,musical gradually entered the vision of Chinese people.Up to now, musicals have formed three major creation modes in China: introducing foreign troupes to perform foreign plays, domestic troupes to rearrange foreign classic plays, and creating original Chinese plays. In recent years,"intangible cultural heritage" protection has become a cultural phenomenon. It has gradually become the active pursuit of Chinese musicals to incorporate the elements of "intangible cultural heritage" into the creation of original musicals.Taking the original musical "Ancient and modern origin" as an example, this paper analyzes the penetration of five elements of "intangible cultural heritage" in the play, and demonstrates their success or failure from the perspectives of script, music, and the integration of various forms of performance, etc.,so as to clarify the selectivity of the content of China's original musical and the diversity of inheritance of "intangible cultural heritage".
