Lu Xun's Essay Creation And Translation Activities During The Period Of "Mangyuan" Weekly

The division of the “New Youth” marks the temporary end of China's vigorous ideological revolution.The intellectuals who used the “New Youth” as the gathering point began to seek another way out,and set up their own speech platforms one after another.From Lu Xun's criticism of several important newspapers at that time,Lu Xun did not find a very satisfactory position of speech.He hoped to be a new youth oriented critic magazine focusing on ideological revolution.So on April 24,1925,as Lu Xun's first real editor of the publication “Mang Yuan” came into being,Being an ignored piece of public opinion in the history of Chinese modern literature,Continue the ideological revolution that Lu Xun adhered to.This paper first analyzes the reasons for the establishment of the Weekly magazine "Mang Yuan" from the macro and micro aspects.The second part summarizes the essays published by Lu Xun during the period of "Mang Yuan" Weekly.During the period of "Mang Yuan Weekly",Lu Xun writes a series of critical essays which are different from "New Youth" period.New features have emerged in all aspects,such as content and form.It is the two most prominent features of Lu Xun's essays in this period to make a clear criticism of the intellectual class and to carry out "civilized criticism" and "social criticism".At the same time Lu Xun also carried out a large number of introductions and translation activities.The third part focuses on the translation of Lu Xun's translation texts in the same period,the translation of literary theoretical works mainly by Japanese writers and the translation of the fairy tale "Little John".In the course of the analysis,it is found that there is a close connection between the essays of Lu Xun and the translation.The foreign culture influences the occurrence of Lu Xun's essays,and the generation of Lu Xun essays is higher than the limit of foreign literature.The two influence each other and are independent of each other,which is an indispensable part of the artistic activities of Lu Xun during the period of the "Mang Yuan" Weekly.
