By the influence of Puritanism of the Francis Hutcheson family atmosphere,in the absorption Locke's "senses" theory and Shaftesbury's emotional theory, founded the " moral senses" as the theoretical cornerstone, emphasizing "benevolence" moral emotional theory system. As a pioneer of Scottish enlightenment,Hutcheson's moral emotionalism has exerted an important influence on later generations.Since the day when science and reason are regarded as the new saviour of mankind, human beings are actually facing another form of threat, too much praise for reason and science makes the human mind and spiritual life is ignored. As a human society in China, the study of emotional theory is an important task we have to shoulder.Specifically, this paper first expounds the background and theoretical origin of Hutcheson's moral emotional thought.Under the influence of the merger of England and Scotland in 1707,Hutcheson absorbed the theoretical pith of contemporary thinkers and criticized Hobbes's self-serving view of human nature. On this basis,he put forward a positive view of human nature characterized by "benevolence".The study of Hutcheson's moral emotionalism will not only promote the enrichment and perfection of our moral psychology and axiology, but also hope to apply it to the improvement of moral education, the improvement of social moral indifference and the correction of "Institutional humiliation" in social management.
